What's the balance to player XP?

feels gamey. in theory, i could just play louis murphy and keep upgrading him until he becomes an all pro. that doesn't seem right. i liked when they had potential grade, and that let you know how far they would progress. it simulates the draft pick bust pretty well.

is there a cap to upgrading players? they even have their own XP pool too, which feels unbalanced. it's not like you have to even balance the spending.

i think it progression should be part playing time, part potential, part performance, and part coach ratings. not RPG like

He would because he has great potential! As it is now with XP you can get Tebow to become a faster version of Tom Brady after a few seasons...

bc brady, in game terms, would have already become an 85 after he sort of touched a weight for his rookie 2000 season.

          do players still progress naturally?
