What Camera Angle do you use?

    Hey guys,

I just started a new "Be-A-GM" mode and was thinking about tinkering with the camera. I thought it would be fun to get some input on what cameras the OS community is using? Please feel free to post below!

    Thanks!

I was so excited last year when they implemented the True Broadcast view, but unfortunately it was my off year in buying NHL (I alternate between Madden and NHL). So this year it was time for NHL 14. Haven't used anything but True Broadcast. It was quite an adjustment, as I've played NHL videogames north and south since the Sega Genesis days (I almost said NES, but remembered Ice Hockey being east and west).

I've had to make some slider adjustments to be competitive in this view, however. First and foremost, I had to use auto aim for shots. It's tough to see where to shoot the puck, as you can't clearly determine the goalie's position. I kind of wish you could better see the defensemen near the blue line once the puck is deep in the zone. Some of my passes back to the point are blind. I've learned to listen to the player chatter during the game. If the defensemen are open, they'll yell out "back to the point".

But I'm so happy to have this camera. Makes the game look so much more lifelike. I'll never go back.

Personally overload. Extremely helpful camera if you're an EASHL player because you can see everyone on the ice.

I use the Ice view. Nice and close view, enough to see most of the width of the ice. Not too close as the action view. Been using it forever. Tried other cameras, nothing satisfied me.

I truly want to like true Broadcast but its just not "Wide" enough, need to see a bit more of the left and right Ice

I try Broadcast, better ice "width" but not as cool an Angle as True

I default to a Custom Cam thats very similar to Ice View, but I zoom it out a tad and drop the cam towards the ice a tad.....

Im not a fan of the Overhead like Views
but I play Player Lock allday

I haven't played much of BeAGM or Play Now... True Broadcast when the Revamped Rosters are finally out though. I play the shlt out of HUT with a 50/50 custom cam...

Side note to those that player lock... you can 'fix' the camera to whichever player by pressing select.

I go back and forth between the ice cam and custom 3. Ice cam allows for a more close up view, but custom 3 allows you to see almost the whole ice and more off the puck action, passing lanes, etc.

Pretty much right in line with how I like to attend hockey games too. Obviously close seats are awesome, but sitting up high allows for watching more of the play develop.

In 13 I use my own custom 'custom 3' camera angle. I have it set similarly to the BeAPro High from NHL 12 that was ruined in 13 by making it so you cannot see from the left boards to the right, meaning the field of view (FOV) is too small.

I still have a small bit of the ice off of my screen while standing on the far boards but if I am that far over I probably don't need to see the other boards.

Overhead is the only camera I can use. The rest, I can't get used to them.

I mostly use overhead, best camera for seeing the whole play and very helpful if you use lots of long stretch passes to generate offense.
