By the way, I handled ratings differently then most. For starters, everyone has a Consistency of 60(including Super Stars). I've been doing that for years and it seems to work out. As far as potential goes, the "normal" players (so the majority of the league) will have a potential of either 60 or 65. Some guys have a 55. This prevents people from going from say a 65 rating to a 75 rating the next year after averaging only 3 points a game. All lotto picks have at least a potential of 70. Some young players who have the potential to break out and be great have a 75. Then there are the Super Stars who have a potential of 80. I believe there are only about 8 guys with the 80 rating. I also toned down Offensive and Defensive Awareness a lot for guys. This helped get a guy like Jarrett Jack to go down to a 71 (or 70 I forgot his actual rating) so he would be more willing to play 6th man. I also decided to make almost everyone either Neutral or Laid Back (which helped with player morale). Unfortunately some guys will still complain, but for the most part they won't get traded unless an injury surfaces. If I think of anything else that went into the roster I'll post it in this thread.

For the next part of the update, I'm planning on fixing accesories and jumpshots(Etc.). I also want to mess with the durability ratings of players to help get the injuries down across the league which will also(hopefully) cut down trades.

Have you run multi year sims with the potentials set this way? I was under the impression that potentials were switched this year to be the players max overall rating rather than a rate of progression.

From what I saw potential is still a progression. By the next year the majority of the league either stayed the same rating, got worse (older guys) or went up a point or two.

I don't think it's download for me. Can you post a few quickly identifiable ratings changes you made so I will know if I have the right file, or if it is just the default 2k file

I used the latest roster file(so injuries are included sadly). I made this roster mainly for MyGM seeing as all injuries are erased when you enter the mode. LeBron should be a 96 in the roster, he's 99 in the 2k one.

Just threw up an update with updated accesories for the Sixers & Clippers as well as new sig shots from the 76ers to the Lakers. Will finish Magic to Wizards tomorrow.

                  Re: 2013-2014 Rosters (Xbox One)

Looks like a pretty good start. I ran a sim and see a few things that might need adjustment but it definitely helped the trading issue a ton for the first season. It helped a little in season 2, but I'm not too worried about that. I think I might use yours as a base and go back through with all the tendency, accessory and sig updated I was adding for mine.

Also, your draft class looks pretty solid too, I just wish we could choose the face for each guy. I may end up making my own based on your potential scales just so I can try to get the faces as close as possible, or atleast the correct skin tones. Overall great job though considering all the limitations with editing!

It's good to hear that. I just finished updating sig shots based on my own observations, the ripcity guy's changes and also from this link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=sharing#gid=6

If you like the sig shots we could work together to finish up accessories.

I have accessories done for 76ers-Celtics.

How have the records been turning out in your sims? I only ran one but the main one I was concerned with was the Pacers finished at like 40-42 or something like that. Thought it was strange since they are tied for the highest rated team, maybe just an anomaly though.

Yeah I've been trying to get the Pacers to finish better. Idk why they aren't. Ratings wise they have a top 5 team from the starting lineup to the bench. Hopefully I can fix them soon. I am however pleased with how the Trailblazers turn out. Every sim I've done so far they've won between 47-55 games and finished top 5.

I don't remember the ratings off the top of my head, but I know when I edited Paul George and Hibbert, both increased in ratings, they ended up doing really well. I'll download your rosters Thursday and try playing around with the ratings some, will be out of town tomorrow.

                          Add me on XBL, Heatology.

Added D.J. Augustin to the Bulls and Chris Douglas-Roberts to the Bobcats. Changed the jersey numbers of Chuck Hayes, John Salmons and Patrick Patterson to real life counterparts. Updated some accessories.
