I like this game more than 2k...


2k is going back to gamestop after what they are trying to pull with the VC.

Nah, you ain't crazy at all. It's a good fundamental game of hoop is all, just has a few issues. 2k is really good but IMO it's more on the arcade side.

The spacing in the game is so good. Everything feels proportioned correctly. 2k felt like a game of basketball on a volleyball court.

But at the end of the day its something different. Maybe not better but different take on the game we all love. Both have there issues. I'm loving Live 14.

2k is auto buy on PC as long as it releases.
Live if it continue to release will be my yearly console game.

What quarter lengths are you guys using?

Right now I'm playing 8 minute quarters, because it's all I have time for. I'm going to eventually probably settle on 10 minute quarters, maybe 12. I could easily have realistic stats for 12 minute quarters, but I'd only finish 1 game per day, or every other day, ha.

So true, I am thinking I will run with 8 and set sim quarters accordingly. 8 min quarters on a 28 game season and I may be able to get through a couple.

I'm playing 12 minute quarters. It's pretty realistic as far as stats are concerned, especially since the gameplay is a bit slower.

The only nice thing about having very few fouls is that the games still go by pretty quick.

Has anyone played against the Timberwolves yet? Damn, they can shoot!

They just put up 31 points against me in the 1st quarter (12 minutes). The best part? Only 8 points in the paint. Kevin Martin hit 3-4 from deep, one of which he sized up my man for a couple of seconds and pulled up right in his face. And they play a much faster pace than I've seen so far with a lot of quick ball movement. But you know what the best part is? I can actually make adjustments!

Can't wait for the patch. I'm loving this game.

I am loving this game (with knowing it can only get better). Only thing I have to stay away from is spamming the spin move. I play with the Dubs and Steph Curry has a super quick spin that gets him around his defender 100% of the time. Doesn't matter who is guarding him. It looks like one of the animations that speeds up compared to the rest of his movements. Maybe all EA has to do is slow down that animation but in its current state someone online could spam the heck out of that...

Hey guys, love the momentum(a small ripple really) that this game is gaining on these forums. I don't post much but I read the forums a lot. Yes the other game is more polished and prettier and in a lot of areas the better game but for some reason I keep going back to live. I guess I keep slipping the other game in cause it looks good and im supposed to like that game better. As it's been said you need to play and learn live to appreciate it. Yes there are some weird animations and not enough signature animations but guys are in the right place and doing the right things at the appropriate times.
Sorry for the rant. I'm not concerned about the graphics, they are fine, not great but serviceable. Animation and player contact physics(I guess these are tied together), simply they need more variety and improvement. The menus are slick, crisp and fast. One last thing, does it bother anyone else that the live team felt the need to apologize. That irked me, stand by your game. Especially if your claiming to improve it this year and not wait for 15. If I hadn't bought it day one that probably would have turned me off to the game. Rant over.
