Is Anyone Else Getting A Black Screen After Starting The Game??

Every time I start up the game it shows the nba logo and team spots, but then after that It just goes black while I wait for the intro. Is anyone else experiencing this? (I'm on ps4 btw)

Yeah i've had this one or two times.
Try restarting your PS4 and see if that works. It did for me. I think there's been a few more people having the same issue since the last patch.

Wait for a few minutes it will start up. I was dash boarding it before but it makes no difference just start the game up, grab a cold one and wait for it to boot up.

Yeah, I get the exact same thing, just wait it out. The game takes longer to start up since the last patch; it's no doubt doing some kind of internet verification where it's waiting on 2K's decrepit servers to respond. The initial load at the menu selection screen takes longer, too, I've noticed.

happens to me also. thought i broke something. its like 2 min black scren

This happens to me on XB1 every so often. I was pretty freaked out/pissed off the first time I saw it but after 2-3 minutes or so, it loads up just like normal from that point on. Minor inconvenience, only had it happen a couple times.

I was stuck on the black screen for a few days recently. I would stay on that screen for over 20 minutes each time, until yesterday. I decided to log out of my ps4 after it was stuck on the black screen and when I logged back in, it took me home and started the game up, and it resumed the game and after a few seconds the black screen went away and the games worked again

I get it sometimes wait 2-3 mins if it doesn't work then restart your system also check if your disc is clean

Yeah, I get it too. Disconnect the ps4 from the internet then launch the game. It should boot up faster. then reconnect the internet before pressing start or whatever.
