Re: Is EA dangling this in our face?
What? Where have they said they have the ability to put this in the game? They're just doing play now games to simulate what could be a potential playoff. I love how everyone blows this out of proportion.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | Omaha -

You can't blame them, it's just business. They are just trying to extend sales especially since it's almost Christmas time.Comment

Re: Is EA dangling this in our face?
If you look at the Installed Game, you'll find that it's already on disk.
It's just locked/blocked so we don't have access.
Unfortunately, NCAA Install doesn't have a great deal of .xml like Madden, that we could tinker and possibly turn on.
But it is there on disk. (I believe somewhere between Data0000 and Data0003 files)Comment

Re: Is EA dangling this in our face?
It could be hype to make a DLC patch for the playoffs, or it could just be hype for the last college football game as someone had already said. I could see them doing it after the season, and selling it as DLC (if they make you pay for gloves, Playoff DLC wont be free). It would be a good time to release it because it would be after the last BCS Bowl Games ever. Also, you wouldn't need the NCAA Football team that lost their jobs to program it in.
However, EA wouldn't do this just to be nice. Like any other company they exist to make money. If they don't see money to be made, we won't be seeing a Playoff DLC. So. Who knows.Comment

Re: Is EA dangling this in our face?
I wonder if that's still on there from the PS1 days. I know the PS2/Xbox build was pretty much a total rebuild compared to the PS1 build of the game (anyone who's ever played both will tell you as much), but I wonder if that part of the game's code made it on to the PS2, which then made it on to the PS3/360?If you look at the Installed Game, you'll find that it's already on disk.
