I can tell you how to do it:

1) In the contract negotiation - propose the lower amount that comes up by default (or really low ball to make sure the player comes back with a reply)
2) The player will respond saying we can do better, etc.
3) BEFORE you hit the X button [PS4] to bring up the screen again to adjust the numbers - press and HOLD the down button on the D Pad. WHILE HOLDING THE D PAD DOWN - press the X button
4) You will now be have access to the list of items you couldn't get to before. It's starts at the bottom and you can edit each category working your way up. PLEASE NOTE - you can't move back down once you move up to the next category - so make sure you know what you wan to propose before you start editing.

I hope that helps. This was literally a game saver for me *whew*

You guys are too good for doing this for us. MyGM now far more playable into free agency 2014 and beyond. But to think that it shouldn't be us sorting this out...

Wish I would have found this out minutes ago. In my Orlando franchise, I cleared cap, drafted Wiggins to go with Oladipo, and had room to sign LeBron. Thought my owner was just being cheap, and it was one of the issues with being a small market team. You know, the whole not being able to sign free agents for anything less than the minimum. Well at least I can sign Barbosa now and wait for the 3 years it takes for Wiggins and Oladipo to develop into studs. My owner would have liked me so much better if I pulled off the LeBron coup. But I do want reality.

I got the contract negotiation to work during a season following your method. But what about after the season or when you are resigning players or signing free agents? They don't negotiate right away they say they will let you know. Thanks

I would like to know as well since I'm having trouble resigning players.
