Re: blocking kicks
ill have to try going up the middle then. ive been going off to the side cause thats how i was able to block kicks on ncaa 12. ill see if i cant get a push up the middle. do you use the jump button or the dive button? or depends on how close you are?Comment

Re: blocking kicks
I've blocked two punts. Got the videos somewhere. Not backed up in the end zone either. Just have to have a good acceleration guy and time the snap just right. Not easy but definitely possible.

Re: blocking kicks
I got hella close on a punt before, like someone above said you need a good speed/accel guy. On kicks I think it's either amazing/luck timing or finding a good goaline play and timing an audible or getting some movement going at the time of the snap that gives you a random hole to run through. I've gotten some nice holes but I'm always surprised that I forget to react enough lol.Comment

Re: blocking kicks
I can block kicks by coming off the right side. You have to anticipate the snap. I take the far right guy and move him a 1/2 yard toward center.
Punts on the other hand, for some reason I can't get my guy to jump or dive. I don't know what's going on, but when I get close and press square or triangle he does nothing.Comment

Re: blocking kicks
I think special teams plays are scripted and no matter what you do nothing will alter them. On a CPU punt, take one of your guys and without touching an offensive player, cross the line of scrimmage and stand right infront of the punter. When the ball is snapped, the ball will pass through you and the punter will catch and kick the football, with his leg and ball passing right through you as if you were never there.Comment

Re: blocking kicks
I user blocked one in OT to win the game with my LB. It was sick. The LS just went and blocked someone else and i went in free and jumped and took it to the house. One of my greater accomplishments in NCAA history.Minnesota Gophers
