I have witnessed Danny Woodhead running for 1700 yards. Very high ypc for running backs. Has there been a fix for passing stats? How do you guys that love stats deal with it?

How do you guys deal with sim stats?
I love realistic stats. I love them so much that I'm still playing madden 12 with updated rosters. Madden 12 to me had the best sim stats. I would like to play madden 25 but the passing stats puts me off. Some QBs get 8 td passes for a whole season. Some under 50 percent completion percentage. Not many throw for 30 td passes ect.

Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
It really frustrated me for the first few weeks I had the game. So much so that I wasn't even playing it but rather tried to fix the sim stats by roster editing. It's kind of fine line, if you tweak the roster too much the defensive stats suffer; team finishing with single digit sack totals as an example. The best results I got were by editing wr awr to the players rating divided by 2 and add 49. This makes every wr have at least 70 awr.
I'm 7 years into my CFM though and the stats have started to go back down. My last season every team had less than 30 passing td's. You can tweak the rosters all you want but unless you do continuous maintenance the stats will revert back.Last edited by tdogg097; 12-24-2013, 08:37 PM. -
Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
Negative. The stats are not even close to what is happening in the NFL this year or within the past 5 years. Qb ratings resemble numbers from the 1960s. And there is a multitude of other issues with the sim stats. Here is a breakdown of all the issues I've seen with several different simulations.
Passing TD's too low
Completion % too low
Qb Rating too low
Qb fumbles too low
Total fumbles too low
Too many defensive TD's
Too many punts
Kickoff TB's too low
It gets really bad when the generated draft classes are used. 7th year of CFM, 23 of 32 Qb's have a rating of less than 80. 10 of 32 qbs have a rating of less than 65.2 which is the team rating of the Jets IRL and the lowest in the league.Comment

Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
i'm 14 years into my CCM. only four QBs are in the 90s (i have one of them) while four are in the 80s. most, including backups are in the high 70s.Comment

Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
7th Year of CFM
Passing TD Leader: R.Wilson 32
Qb Ratings: 19 of 32 with less than 80
Most fumbles by QB: 2
Defensive TDs: T.Decoud 7; 3 with 4; 9 with 3
Most TB's: 21
Players with more than the NFL record for punts in a season (112): 9Comment

Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
I haven't made the jump to 25 yet, so I can't judge. But the sim stats of 12 kept me from enjoying it. QB Comp % were too low and backup QBs were playing way too much.Comment

Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
I know a lot of people griped about sim stats from last year's game but they weren't that bad for the qb's. There was a serious glitch with the amount of blocked kicks. It was insane, every season had 150+ blocked kicks. You would think that would be a piece of a cake to fix and it never happened.Comment

Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
I think simed stats are tied to the minutes played in a game. if you play 8-10 minute quarters then the simed stats will reflect 8 minute quarters.
Madden needs to implement user minutes and simmed minutes just like the 2k games do. that would fix a good portion of the simulated/user stats.Comment

Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
This is only true if you supersim cpu games otherwise the minutes you play have nothing to do with sim stats. If that were the case then number of plays would reflect this but they don't. The problem with the stats is the outcome of the play not the number of them. Many qb's will have 600+ attempts in a year but less than 15 td's. One of the calculations for rating is td% and also yards per attempt which are both too low in the sim engine.I think simed stats are tied to the minutes played in a game. if you play 8-10 minute quarters then the simed stats will reflect 8 minute quarters.

ok Im not noticing this. my stats all seem to be realistic. This is only true if you supersim cpu games otherwise the minutes you play have nothing to do with sim stats. I dont track the number of plays though-that in itself is unrealistic. Madden has left out the key features that would make the number of plays accurate, and potentially stats realistic.
1. being the time it takes to sub players in and out the game. as of right now they just spawn in and out the game. they dont actually run in and out from the sidelines -which takes time off the clock also (different topic)
question-do the sliders effect the numbers. cause I have not adjusted anything on the cpu side of the sliders. again my cpu/ai controlled team's stats seem to fall in the realm of reality.Comment

Re: How do you guys deal with sim stats?
I've been aggravated by sim stats for years and they keep getting worse.I play every game of the season because of this.I'm actually still playing '12 because of the editor and control you have. The players disappearing and retiring early bother me in 25.
'12 had bad qb completion pct. also but everything else is pretty good.Comment
