Can you not use updated rosters in CFM?

Hello, I got this game for Christmas today and I really enjoy it from the few games I have played of it. However, I have a question. I updated to the recent roster update, week 16 or something like that. When I went to start up a new CFM, the rosters were the default ones you get with the game. I tried everything I could think of, but the rosters were always the default ones and not the week 16 roster update.

Do you have to use the default rosters for a CFM? Or am I just missing something?

You have to go in to load/delete in the file management section. From there you have to load the rosters that you just downloaded and saved. After that, when you create a new cfm, you can select custom rosters. It will load the saved rosters into your cfm. Hope that helps.

I have done that, but it still isn't the roster from the update. It isn't the default rosters, but not the week 16 roster update either.

Do you know what roster it is?

Yeah, I have this same issue. Freaking annoying. Selecting "use custom roster" loads some random roster, not the latest roster update or the one I have loaded.

I have no idea. I just know it isn't either of the two rosters I had. For example, Brian Hoyer on the default roster is rated a 68 OVR, while in the week 16 update he is rated a 77 OVR. But when I load up the custom roster on cfm, he is a 73 OVR. It's like that for everyone, the OVRs are totally different from either of the two rosters. (I apologize if I got the OVRs wrong, I don't have the game in front of me to check.)

The overalls will be different due to franchise going by scheme so all players will have different overall's..... on how they fit that scheme.

I'm having the same problem. The only roster I have is the one I got from going into an Online match, named "CUSTOM" I load it, go into CFM (offline and Online, it does the same thing) and i select Load Custom and its still the default rosters, where Peyton and Jamaal Charles arent 99's...

And I see these overalls on the "team select" page of the Franchise setup, BEFORE i even pick a team or a scheme, so the overalls arent skewed by any schemes.

Yes they are skewed by the team's default scheme even as you choose your team to start CCM. The schemes are not factored in at all outside of CFM, which is why the overalls are different.
