I'd eager to say current gen expecially the pc version which is what I have is no beta and is a better game than this. I care more about playing games than modes. I'm not into my player in any game Sony ea or 2k more so than the game itself.

I've always preferred rewind to nba today but that's my preference. Other than that this game at release was much much more garbage than anything I've seen in a long time in sports.

Played clips with Blazers. I lost by 25. Lilliaard shot 3 for 17 and batum was 1 of 7 from 3. Guys shot 4 of 28 for 3 as a team and clips were like 10 of 14. Missing wide open shots. Don't get it. Griffin was unstoppable . Don't know how to stop guys like that. Had like 35 points.

LOL, like many have said, it's the stigma that Live has....hopefully EA continues to work to over come it...

That's why I try to be as honest in my feedback as I can...If this game was gone over with a fine tooth comb like 2k is, we'd see a lot more threads/videos popping up daily...there shouldn't be a misconception that this is because their aren't as many flaws to point out...there certainly are...they just aren't really talked about..

and that's somewhat understandable being that the fan base isn't as big for right now...I just want to make sure EA knows we want them to keep building and give us a good product in 2015...

Yes the retail is smoother than the demo but its really not hard to improve over hot garbage.

From playing the last Live that was released and the finished Elite, and seeing the Live 13 video, this game belongs on the PS3/360 because honestly its not nex gen at all IMO.

The fastbreak game is still not there, the movement is embarrassing, the inside game is still lacking and its weird how you are not in control of the way the players animate moves, unless you're doing some of the same things because of a lack of animation which is basically the next point. The in the paint cheese is in full effect, the player interactions and physics are awful, which is why you can still do pop up dunks and its like the the defender wasn't even there (very NBA Elite like ala Boozer taking off from the FT Line over KG with no hinderance.) I still see the same In The Zone 98 looking rebounds, some drop to the floor, and the ones you grab most of the time look like the player has pogo stick springs in his legs.

I honestly see alot of recycled code in the game from ball/rim physics because some of the core issues were never addressed, so I'd say the reviews were pretty spot on. With the way the sales are this game needs a significant change if its to survive on this generation. I hope they do better next year by a landslide so more people can enjoy more than one game, but if it remains like this, I don't see this being too much different than last gen.

Being able to run some half court sets are cool but then again that wasn't lacking in the last one to be honest. Some of the defensive settings are new and nice to have as well, it just blows that you can offset that at any point with the weak post defense cheese. I had Amare run inside with 3 men in front of him and all I did was shoot it up with the ball warping through heads and arms and there was no hinderance whatsoever.

Anyway for all of the good you might see there are so many things that need to be overhauled because its the exact reason this series was cancelled in the first place and people aren't going to magically just start buying hundreds of thousands of copies with it in this condition. People keep saying its a foundation...man its been a foundation since Live 2006. Being on a new system has to be far beyond a foundation game to survive.

That's just my take. I know its new again and different but thats just not enough to be honest.

Interestingly enough, I had a chance to play the game for an hour or so and everything people are "raving" about was in Live 10 as well. They have the same strengths and there isn't much "new" here that people are seeing. People have just forgotten where Live 10 was at one point.

That's the exact feeling I had and why I think there is a ton of recycled code here.

I think that's important. We can argue all day whether this game is next gen, but if people are seeing Live 10 in it then perhaps it's time to acknowledge that the Live team knows what it did right and is going back to it. Isn't that what we wanted?

Sure it's late and they shouldn't have scrapped it three years ago, but it's back. And if they build on it, we will see the improvements we thought were coming after Live 10.

Don't think that's what was said at all fellas. CMH... we aren't here to compare these two games. Pared made a statement about something and that was it.

There is definitely some recycled code in here and I'm talking elite and live 13ish stuff as well as issues that date back beyond those two games and that includes live 10 if you wanna say anything about 10.

It's not a slight - not sure why some are interpreting it that way.

It's just not "new." A lot of the good was always there. They added some great, smooth jumpers. Love that about the game.

It's funny though that upon release and the first few weeks thereafter, the Live team was being ridiculed for not taking Live 10 and improving on it, instead giving us Live 14.

I played Live 10 over Christmas at my sisters house. This game is not Live 10 by any means. First guys criticized the game for not being Live 10... now its being criticized for"sharing code" with Live 10 and everything that "I'm" raving about was in Live 10.

I give up. Apparently all of the things that I enjoy about the game have already been done in another game, hell, probably done better in another game. You can easily see all that the game has to offer in an hour. Right? Thats right... because its Live 10 and we've played it before.

Whatever you guys say. I'll continue to enjoy my game.

and since we keep bringing it up, let's face it, there's a 99.9% the "other option" is coming out last year...we can't call that percentage for this game...so I think the focus should be on what NBA Live 14 can do better...not the fact that the "other option" has the same flaws or worse...that doesn't help this game at all...or matter quite honestly..

but anyway, I did actually have a question for you guys...

How do you guys feel about the distance in which "take offs" begin? Do you feel you have to be too close to the goal, or do you think it's ok as is?
