    Margus Hunt

Has anyone noticed this defensive end on the Bengals named Margus Hunt?! This guy is a beast. His PMV and FMV definitely need some work as well as his PRC. But his physical skills are crazy. He's a Julius Peppers, Mario Williams caliber player but with less intangibles. He's 6'8" 277 and has 85 speed, 88 str and 89 acceleration. With a little work, this guy could be the best defensive end in the game.

Also just saw a guy named Cornelius Washington. Lots of raw talent with 85 spd, 91 str and 89 ACC. He was a free agent and used to play for the Bears. I snatched him up. He am be replacing Charles Johnson next season. Johnson's making way too much money.

I've got him on my franchise team. He improved to a 99 pretty quickly. I'm 14 games into my second season and he has 19 sacks.

He is pretty amazing, and easy to max out early in franchise. I traded him away in his 3rd year since he starts out so old.

          Re: Margus Hunt

He must be a rookie in the first year of franchise. I just noticed him and he's in his second year. He's a second round pick for Oakland, so he may be kind of hard to get. But that guy Cornelius Washington is just as good if not better because he's stronger. They both need a lot of work because their PRC, PMV, FMV and other intangibles are low. But they're physical beasts. Washington was a free agent in the second year of my franchise and I snatched him up real quick. He played for the Bears his rookie season and was a 6th round pick, so he should be easy to trade for if you're trying to get one of these two beasts.

Yeah he is a rookie he is from Estonia and he is the man. He's been playing for like 2 years and used to be a discus thrower or something.

Does he regress at the same age as other players? In the old days it wasn't so much age that regressed a player as it was years pro

I made him into a great 4-3 DT. Think about it.

Has anyone used either of these guys as an olb in a 3/4 def? How do you think they would translate?

Depends on how much you want to develop their coverage

Thinking like the Demarcus Ware type for either of these guys.

I like big fast and strong DTs. they stop the run, rush the passer and can blow up a screen. There are a lot of DEs with 80 plus spd etc etc. But M Hunt has the strength go play inside plus better speed then almost any DT (I think he is the fastest in the league).

I've actually had great success with him as a DE in a 3-4 scheme. Consistent for 12-20 sacks per year.

I can totally see him as a 3-4 DE. I run a hybrid defense so I will user him back into coverage from the DT spot in the 4-3, dime etc but I'll also play him at DE in my 3-4's and anywhere in the 5-2.

Really, these guys have the physical skill set to play any position in the front seven. They have the speed and agility to play any LB position or DE and the strength and block shedding to play DT in a 4-3 defense. But, like I said earlier, their intangibles are pretty bad. But with the right amount of XP, u could play these guys just about anywhere.
