What's the secret to choosing the opponent's uniforms in CFM?

I got a second controller for my XB1 and want to change my opponent's uniforms in my offline franchise mode. The two times I have done it so far (against the Bengals) the game loads back to the main menus outside of the franchise mode after the game ends. Upon loading the franchise back up it shows that I have not played that game. So there was 2 games I played for no reason.

Is there a way to make it so it doesn't get all messed up and you can choose whatever jersey combo you want for both teams in franchise?

So... we can't use the other uniforms in franchise for our CPU opponents?

Not just that, but alot of times it crashes if someone plays against you. Seems if a second controller is activated you are likely to crash. PS4 or XBox One, wish I could figure it out.

Too bad because the 2nd controller thing worked fine for the 360

Try turning both controllers on BEFORE loading the game. I can make my game crash now. I think I've solved my problem, hope so anyway. If I turn controller 2 on after my save is loaded it crashes every time. I think it has to do with profiles being linked to individual controllers.

It does have to do with that, but I recall having them both on from the Xbox home screen and then loading everything up and it still giving me issues. Who are you signing in controller number 2 as? Keep me posted on your progress and findings, please.

I've still not seen a crash since loading both controllers before playing and I can make it crash every time. I'm on PS4. The problem is because controller 2 links to a different profile. Activating it makes the profiles switch and it can no longer locate the franchise save file. I'll let you know if something changes, but I believe it solved my problem.

Gotta keep any profiles from activating AFTER your franchise loads. To be safe turn all profiles on before launching Madden.
