NBA Live 14 Dynasty - How's Yours Going

I didnt see a thread similar to this already and I enjoy reading about others progress as well as sharing mines!

I'll be using the Lakers, should be fun rebuilding us past the Kobe era.

If you have any tips/ideas for Dynasty, post those here as well!

I've started about 10 and this mode is unplayable as far as i'm concerned. seems as if they no no effort into this mode.

1.you're only allowed to scout 5-6 players before draft. should be all season

2.espn news doesn't show you all the award winners or injuries. should have it's own section like standings and league leaders.

3.rookie accessories are funny. just give us editing options so we can change things up.

4. no firing coaches. are we suppose to play with the same coach for all 30 years?

5.the draft is in july for some odd reason

6.they still have the wacky schedule from live 10 once you get into year 2. sometimes you play 15 games straight at home and sometimes you go out on 17 game road trips.

7. the rotation system doesn't respond well. still see guys with the higher overall ratings getting more minutes. minutes should be how you set them up.

That bad? Have you tried since the latest patch? I've only played 2 games in mine and the minutes seem to be fine.

As far as all the other stuff you stated I cant speak to because I'm only a few games in..

yes I did. its that bad! going to buy the other game if some of these issues aren't fixed. i'm nothing without dynasty mode in sports games

Don't buy the other game yet. It is a brick until they get a new patch out. Literally.

Hey guys. Long time member of the site but don't post much. That said, I really enjoy the conversations at OS.

Got a quick question about the dynasty. Just started mine with the Celtics and I don't have Rondo with the current roster. With him coming back, can I update my rosters mid season? Do you have to play he season with whatever roster you have when you start? Feel kinda silly for asking but I wasn't sure.

I believe I can answer this question, as I too started with updated rosters. I choose the Grizzlies, and as we all know, Marc Gasol is injured. However if you go to your rotation, you'll find Rondo at the very bottom on the IL (injured list). All you have to do is move him from that spot, back into the starting line-up and he'll be fine. That's all I did for Gasol and he's played every game for me so far this year.

I'm doing one with the bulls, I started prior to Deng being traded so I don't know if that effects anything otherwise I'm thinking of blowing the team up and either making major trades or cuts and waiting on free agency

Thanks. I am going to try that and see how it goes. I also need to see if a roster update came along to reflect Lee going to Memphis and Bayless coming to Boston. I like the rosters to be as close as possible.

I started one with the Knicks and chose rebuild for future. I will be trading vets with multiple year contracts for players with 1 year contracts to get under the cap. So far I'm 5-2 playing on Rookie but now ready to move up to Pro.

started one with the Sixers on Superstar, trying to rebuild for the future. along the way a funny thing has happened. The team is 18-8 (58gms) so far with some very good wins (Spurs, Mavs, Bulls) and some very bad losses (Jazz, Magic, Bucks - the CPU adapts well). Since the upgrade points and goals are focused around my choice to rebuild, it seems i'm hurting myself trying to build for the future by winning now in season one, because i have no real pieces to trade for without giving up my rebuilding blocks.

My team seems to play much better at home. I also noticed that of the 5 players I have selected for training (my starting lineup - MCW[pg], Hawes[pf], Young[sf], Turner[sg], Noel[c]), only 4 are showing training result (MCW shows no progress at all), despite MCW getting rookie of the month averaging 17.8 pts 6.8 assist, 4 rebound, 3 TO. My projected draft position has gone from 4, to 28 during that time. Anyone else seeing something like this?

I love the dynamic announcing talking about current injuries, streaks, scoring droughts, team focuses, etc.

Overall i'm having a blast playing my first year dynasty.

I also start with my sixers!! In second year, MCW still show no progress!! It's strange!! BTW! The rotation seem better!! You can sub sg for pg!! I think the dev also patch this !

Are you all customizing the training for each player? Could be why you aren't seeing a change in some guys. You can adjust the training from Defense to offense to athleticism. If the player is already athletic, take some of those training points and put them where they need to be.
