I expect a drop in sales. How they respond to that will determine how this franchise goes forward. They're not going to change anything related to VC from this year to the next. I believe they've convinced themselves they can ride the wave of being recognized for their premier graphics that the immense fallout which ensued can be dealt with by having significantly less issues next year.

If its a small drop in sales VC will become the new standard. They will continue to push RPG basketball and user control rather than predetermined fantasy basketball will become a thing of the past.

If the drop in sales is significant or EA can take big enough bite we may see a strong shift where they actually open up to what their customers really want...like they did 5-6 years ago. A rexamining of user controlled Associations may return and VC will move to MyTeam and MyPlayer almost exclusively.

As a long time buyer I'm upset by the direction they're taking.

I agree! Not having CAP was a terrible idea.
