Can someone tell me how to stop my CPU teammates from leaving guys wide open?

Been playing My GM mode and it seems the smallest things trigger my CPU teammates just leaving their man wide open. I hope im not the only one who's experienced this. Any help?

Ya I feel you, really wish they kept the matchup menu where you could tell them to play tight, deny or go under and over screens. It's frustrating that such basic functionality has been removed

The cpu scrambles to provide help defense when you get beat or give a lane to the ball handler the level in which they do this depends on your point of emphasis and help defense setting under coaching settings. If they blatantly run away from their man they are covering up for you or a cpu teammate getting beat. Either play better defense by giving more space to ballhaner. Switch the matchup if a particular player is torching someone or set the help defense to 0. The cpu will still help if your help defense is at zero but not nearly as much.

How do you make then stop leaving in online quick match. I usually only play man D, but somehow someone on the opposite team is always open. My bigs leave the paint to contest an already contested shot.

Bumping up help D along with the strength at which they contest shots should fix it. Bumping up D awareness a few clicks while lowering Off awareness a few clicks is something I do as well. I haven't had any weird issues like you say you have. Obviously IRL guys do get wide open shots at times, which Im sure you know, but try adjusting the things I said and see if that helps you out some, as Im have been surprised at how much better D is compared to the old console version of NBA2k15. I just got a PS4 and NBA2k15 about 5days ago, and I have loved how realistic its playing for me, but did have to make some adjustments to sliders to get it right as usual.
