Anybody play Road To Glory? ANYBODY?!?
Just curious if anybody has any interesting or creative ideas as to go about playing Road To Glory. I just uploaded my sweet Gameface so I was gonna give it a shot? How do you guys go about starting one up that I could actually play for more than one season. Appreciate the feedback!Tags: None -

I go into team builder and create the local high schools in the area. Then I put them into a custom schedule and have my guy playing at whatever local school I feel like putting him in. I usually name him after a Seinfeld character. My last one was named Todd Gack. Usually keeps it interesting.

I played RTG a ton in NCAA 2012, it was nice to have one going when I didn't have time to play my dynasty games. I've played a couple where I was a QB playing on a 20-25 ranked program like West Virginia or TCU in a weak conference and tried to work my way to elevating them to a national championship. Some people aren't as connected to these game modes, but when you are trying to run with the big boys and your defense isn't good enough to hold down the big teams, its extremely thrilling to bear the brunt of the responsibility for winning the game for year team, all the while having to execute plays you don't have full control over choosing. Playing in a weaker conference, you have to have a perfect season to qualify for the national championship, and there's something about road to glory and the limited control you have that makes finally manning up and beating the tough teams that stand in your way that is completely awesome.
My RTG players are usually named after brands, like Texas Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Labatt Blue, anything that has a first name you could imagine in sports.Comment

Re: Anybody play Road To Glory? ANYBODY?!?
I try, but I usually just player lock on whatever position I want in my Dynasty games.
I'm not really into the whole High School Football thing, so Dynasty gives me full player lock capabilities, plus I can recruit for the position I am playing at, and I can change my position whenever I want.
As far as progression goes, your player will progress like the CPU players do after the season, so no earning XP and coach trust.
And it lasts for more that five-or-so years.
But I agree with the person above, having control over only one player over the course of a season really does make it feel worthwhile, satisfying, and realistic.Comment

I play RTG...but find that getting an offer from EVERY school on the planet too easy... Even at the hardest levels.. I have tried all sorts of sliders but none see to be "PERFECT" meaning that when on offense the D is too good or too easy and when on defense the offense is the same way. I play NHL14 religiously and have been tinkering with changing all the USER/CPU sliders to 0. I know in NHL it makes the player play to his #'s. I'm not quite sure that is the case in NCAA but give it a try... Remember the USER/CPU sliders are BOOSTERS..
I don't know...Im going to give it a try this week..BIGBADASS33
