Even though this game has issues (largely the VC and saving to a crap server), I have to hang tight. The gameplay and graphics are rockin, and. I am hopeful that I will have a full function game at some point.Comment

At some point people will stop caring. 2K would want to communicate in a detailed and honest manner with fans...soon.
Consumers are savvy. Watch pre-orders (relative to the # of console owners) halve next year. Just because basketball fans only have sh#t (Live) to choose from doesnt mean we will buy a game that is anti-consumer.Comment

Just to update: I took my copy back to Argos (UK), and they gave me an instant and full refund, no questions asked (the item was bought before Christmas).
It is very unusual for a UK retailer to refund a game without question (due to the fact that people will play them through and take them back for a refund). I got the distinct feeling they'd given other refunds for the same game and weren't going to argue about it.
I had a Sale of Goods Act letter with me, but didn't need it. As soon as I handed the game over they just asked for proof of purchase and gave me a refund. Just need to get my VC purchase refunded by Microsoft now!Comment

I really wanted to keep it too, but there's only a realistic window of opportunity to ask for a refund, and this game WILL come down in price, just due the fact it was one of the few launch titles (so there are loads of copies floating around and, it seems, lots of returned copies!).
What bothered me was that I'd waited over 2 weeks for a fix, 2K are constantly lying about the status of the game (and blaming people's network set ups in tickets for lost VC!) and they are rubbish at communicating. The ultimate fix could go live tonight. On the other hand, worse case scenario; we could still be sat waiting for this ridiculous game to be patched when NBA2K15 is due!!!
At least if you return it now you can buy it again when (if!) they iron out the bugs. If people actually used their consumer rights more often it might dissuade companies from releasing alpha products as retail releases!Comment

Re: NBA 2K14: As Problems Mount, Some Gamers Getting Refunds from Retailers
I agree with a lot of you guys. i've yet to have a game make it to halftime before ps4 crashes down or there is a server problem. But its a fun game and i know "if" big if they can fix the issues than it'll be worth it. Tough to take it back..theres huge potential. But it is weird to me that Ronnie 2k is constantly playing the game online through thepark and he seems to have minimal problems. Hes always on twitter posting his play. Or even Smoove with his my career, they seem to have hardly any issues...smh. makes me wonderLast edited by BravesBoy; 01-11-2014, 12:15 PM.PSN: OverPar8Comment

No way is anyone accepting full refund for this game. Battlefield 3 has more issues than nba 2k does and you can't get refunds for that. I'm not denying the server issues, but the game itself is amazing, and truly the only next gen game I've played since launch. I'll never trade this game in.Comment
