Emergency PlayersWho is your favorite players to sign when your starters get hurt in CFM. Mine is McLeod Bethel-Thompson because of his throw power!Tags: None

 Re: Emergency Players

RB - Michael Smith. Typically cut in preseason from the Bucs

WR - R. Barden - fa that can be a real beast in the red zone.Comment

 Re: Emergency Players

I try to have good depth in general. There are bunch of players early on in a franchise that I sign to be backups to cheap long term deals. Unless I get absolutely decimated by injuries I hardly after have to sign a guy off the street. This is really important IMO at oline because your backups will have a ton of XP if you have an effective offense.Comment

 Re: Emergency Players

In the first off-season I signed Quizz Rodgers when Forte went down. Through 7 games he has 900 yards and leads the league. Doesn't catch it as well as Forte but he's run very well. I'm not run heavy, either. Balanced game plan. Signed for $910k - one year deal. He will be back, hopefully.

 Re: Emergency Players

When Preseason begins, I always sign Ryan Swope. He is always the 4th WR so he doesn't see much of the field but when he does he always catch the ball and is very good.

He's at 72 OVR If I'm not mistaken, but he can progress throughout the years quickly and become an established WR. I like him.New York Yankees

 Re: Emergency Players

As a ND fan, Brady Quinn is my choice of QB. I know his exact capabilities. Rb is a crap shoot. I took Ryan Williams from a 72 to 83 in 3 seasons as a backup for CJ spiller since he is always hurt. Best option is to check the free agency pool through the first five weeks of the season constantly. (Preseason week 1- reg week 1)

They make great trade chips as well when developed
