EA finally got back to me about this and they actually were very helpful. This is a known problem in the catalog.

It's basically a lottery and they don't know why yet.

Some things you gift won't ever be unlocked on the other end. The other person will get the gift screen and the news feed item. They will also get a screen that says this gift is yours. But they won't unlock it.

I posted 16 photos in my case thread at ea support and the rep said all of it would be forwarded to the devs because they are looking into this.

Here's hoping they get it fixed.

What transfers over? It sounds like FCC & level, as well as catalogue items, correct? Does this mean virtual pro accomplishments and unlockables I earned on PS3 will apply to PS4?

I'm not sure about the rest, but the FCC & level stays with you on any account as long as you have the same origin email linked. I've been able to keep my level and xp on 360, PS4 and my Android phone.

I think some of those things should be unlocked on PS4 since so much Ultimate Team stuff carries over.

Qb your pro stuff no. But you will get a +3 on all stats and some other stuff for playing on the old gen.

Can anyone gift me the ability to edit appearance in career mode!? I'm a ways away level wise and don't get a ton of time to play. On Xbox one, gamer tag is emack5. Would greatly appreciate it!

Easy way to get it is if you have the 360/ps3 version is to sim a few seasons and the game gives it to you at the start of xbox1/ps4. not sure if it works if you already have used xbox1 though

More boots info.

There are lots of boots we can't assign. I have found a dozen boots that are not in the catalog and not in default list in the edit player area on just 2 Spanish teams alone.

Not to mention if you look at the other team in the current weekly challenge game colo colo vs. Antofagasta you will find that anto has fake ea boots that we can't even assign.

I just don't get this.

Check colo players #3 and #21 for boots we can't assign.

And anto player #6 and #29.

If I was to guess, having seen a list of all the hidden boots in the pc game (many of which I have found on players on Xbox one) I would say we have about 70 pairs of boots we can't assign to players in player edit.

Edit: Added a text file that includes all boots from FIFA 14 PC. There are an additional 36 pairs of boots that do not have descriptions that are not in the text file, they are listed as CreatePlayerBoot_#
