I'm two years into my Pens GM mode, and am having trouble with my 3rd and 4th lines (issues with a lack of speed). I'm working with one year deals that I picked up in the offseason, mostly older players, so it's tough to get a quick attack going. Any suggestions for some 3rd or 4th line guys to go after that would improve this?

Fast Skaters to Trade For?

Fast Skaters to Trade For?
Andrew Cogliano is one that comes to mind. I'm not sure about the game but i found Mike Brown to be pretty quick IRL... Well when he played for the leafs at least.
Kessel for the leafs is one but he's more of a top 2 liners so scratch him lol. How about Mason Raymond, he's pretty quick as well and can score.Comment

Re: Fast Skaters to Trade For?
One of my pet peeves for this entire series is that it is so hard to find players to target for trading. You can't even view rosters and sort by ratings (to see who would be highly rated in speed, for example), which is easy to do in most sports games. I mean, I'd really like a player finder to search by specific attribute filters, but I know that is asking too much. Frankly, I don't think sortable listing of all players is too much to ask for. If they had this simple function, you could have an easy answer to your question.Comment

Re: Fast Skaters to Trade For?
I completely agree. There isn't any easily accessible way to sort it by rating, or else I wouldn't have come here looking for the answer. I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions that I could look into because of the lack of a decent sorting feature.Comment

Re: Fast Skaters to Trade For?
How? Setting that just updates my trading block, and maybe the computer offers me a player within my request. It still doesn't let us find players with those attributes, so we can initiate the trade. Unless I am missing something?Comment

I mean, there's even instructions at the bottom of the trading block menu...Originally posted by XXstormmXXThe reason I always root for multiple teams is because if one team doesn't make the playoffs or gets eliminated, I loose interest in the sport until next season if my team gets eliminated early. Re: Fast Skaters to Trade For?
One guy id def try to trade for is Sven Baertschi from Calgary. He is a solid 3rd or 4th line winger to start and he progresses really well. I've done almost the same thing with my BAGM with the pens.Off to a good start after the acquisitions I just aquired with my Pens. I aquired Milan Michalek from OTT, Justin Schultz from EDM and Zven Baertschi from CAL. Plus did the Taylor Pyatt deal before starting the BAGM. Was 2-2 before making the trades but now have come back and won 4 out of the last 5 games. All my lines have great cemistry together and are lighting it up. With the adjustments Crosby is being Sid, Geno is tearing it up, my 3rd line is playing amazingly as well and the D is tremendous. Having a lot of fun with this but my lineups are as follows:
Offense:
Kunitz Crosby Neal
Bennett Malkin Michalek
Jokinen Sutter Dupuis
Baertschi Vitale Pyatt
Defense:
Orpik Letang
Schultz Niskanen
Maatta Despres
Goalies:
Fleury Zatkoff
Scratches:
Adams Glass Engelland (sent Kobasew and Bortuzzo down)Comment
