Know how to pass out after grabbing a board? No.
Know how to manage the clock? No.
Know how to vary pace of the game? No
Know how to defend off a big who spins? No.
Know how to call a time out when I have hit 7 threes in a quarter to stop my momentum? No.
Know how any team mate can set up the offense except the point guard? No.
Know how a point forward plays? I.e. LeBron initiates the offense? No.
Know how to run a simple 2 on 1 fast break? No.

Know how to meander through a half court set? Yes. And that's about it.

You can read what they are going to do so easily in this game you can get 40 blocks a game if you want. Hey, there's that same half court set where Curry comes off a screen. Guess what? The AI isn't going to react no matter what I do, so I'll take my 6'8 small forward to where he will be in 6 seconds time and block him. I can position my entire front line on the three point line and have them all wait for Curry to finish curling around a screen and the CPU will 'still' run that same half court play.

CPU just grabbed an offensive rebound? Okay, I'll move across my bigs and block him because he sure as hell isn't passing it even if I leave the entire three point line uncontested.

Hey, guess what? The CPU doubles me as Roy Hibbert EVERY time I post up. So, I camp three point shooters out there and hit non stop. It is so scripted and predictable it's comical. They double Roy EVERY time. I can have Paul George waiting with Lance and their man will always leave to go to Roy, leaving me with an uncontested path to the hoop or open J. Every time.

The game is very, very, very heavily scripted. I can't believe people don't see this. Most everyone I know has seen this after a few games and given up. There's a lot more reasons than just poor graphics as to why this game isn't selling.
the odd thing about this post is that some people are having this experience and some arent. with the exception of the cpu not calling timeouts and the offensive rebounds generally leading to a dunk (attempt) i havent seen anything youre describing. if i try and predict what the cpu is going to do based on a play theyre running (like having a guy waiting for curry off the screen where he would end up) they just stop and instead hit the open shot because that means i left him unattended.

if i get doubled in the post they generally rotate no matter who i put outside so that i dont have an easy open three. sometimes they dont and i do get the open look but no often.

i played a game two days ago where i had a 10 point lead with about two minutes left and the cpu was pushing the tempo a lot more than earlier in the game. ive also had games where the cpu had the lead and slowed it down at the end even while i was trying to push.

i dont see many fast breaks but the few i do see are generally run correctly. the defense runs back to defend the paint. depending on who is running the break on offense they either break outside for the open three or split the lane to the basket.

Know how to pass out after grabbing a board? No.If I have extensive video from a game played last night of Lee and Bogut grabbing boards, and kicking back out to Steph and Thompson, that'd just be a farce?
Know how to manage the clock? No. Again, running plays and going for 2 for 1 opportunities, not good clock management?
Know how to vary pace of the game? No Running, walking, secondary breaks? All in the game. Some are seeing, some aren't.I've posted several videos of the CPU running a break and secondary break.
Know how to defend off a big who spins? No. Have you played since the latest "update"? My teammates react accordingly on the spins, and I'm getting stopped if I try to spin. With a block, or collision/contact animations.
Know how to call a time out when I have hit 7 threes in a quarter to stop my momentum? No. This is a known bug, you can feel free to keep bringing it up, but it's known.
Know how any team mate can set up the offense except the point guard? No.Iguodala was bringing the ball up last night in my game, is he a PG? Lebron initiated a TON of offensive sets in the game against the Bobcats.
Know how a point forward plays? I.e. LeBron initiates the offense? No. See above, Lebron brought the ball up a ton, off of fast breaks, off of standard rebounds, off of scored baskets, all of the above.
Know how to run a simple 2 on 1 fast break? No. I've had alleys thrown on me, I've had pull up jumpers from both wings and having the CPU PG stop and pop, I've had lead passes, I've had runners/floaters against me.

CPU just grabbed an offensive rebound? Okay, I'll move across my bigs and block him because he sure as hell isn't passing it even if I leave the entire three point line uncontested.
Again, Bogut and Lee were kicking it out like crazy. I was up 14 points, and the Warriors went on a 15-3 run on 5-6 3 PT FG's in a 2:30 span last night, 3 of those were off of offensive rebounds and kickouts.

Again, sorry you're seeing this. Just curious, what's your PSN ID?

Again, just because someone's post agrees with your thoughts, doesn't mean that others are INSANE which is what you're implying. The opposite of SANE (which you classified 24th's post as) is INSANE, those going against your opinion. Keep that type of post up and you won't be here long.

I'll go out of the way to post this here:

Keep your opinion of the game, on the game, and NOT other people's opinion of the game.

Pared posted a warning about "us versus them" in the Patch thread, that carries over throughout the forums.

Saying someone's post was "Sane", implying the posts that disagree with yours aren't sane, won't be tolerated. We're all seeing different things for whatever reason.

Again, keep your impressions on the game that you play, not your impression of others impressions.

The biggest issue I see for me is the fact when the AI drives into the paint most of the time my AI defense just stands there and doesn't attempt a block and/or try to give or take a foul maybe its just me, I am starting to get the shot timing down and figuring out who's good with mid range and threes

It would actually be great if you posted that video of bigs kicking out after OR's WTF, that way we can forward it to EA and establish whether this is just a XB1/PS4 difference, a copy difference or what...I literally don't think I have seen it once on my end...

I'll check this evening when I get in. It happened right before I turned the game off at halftime (2am). It should be in the last 15 minutes of recorded footage. I may try to upload it all if it'll do it. Normally 3-4 minutes is my "cutoff" to where I won't get errors.

I was holding them down all game, and then right before half, Steph and Klay went nuts. It was pretty slick.

Another thing I haven't noticed hardly any is the CPU pumpfake in the lane. Are you all still seeing this? Or has that been remedied?

Not nearly as often....and when they do it now it's easier to counter in the lane...

For some reason I am seeing it more outside of the paint which is weird...hasn't seen it before...KD did about five consecutive pump fakes at the 3 point line the other day....I think it's probably just a tendency quirk

It's toned way down for sure... as well as every finish inside doesn't result in a dunk.

BTW, I'm not trying to beat down the game... I believe there is great hope for it, but I'm gonna call it like I see it. It get's frustrating sometimes, but if it's gonna improve EA has to take the good with the bad and the bitter with the sweet.

No, you two I don't have issues with. It's not merely a troll attempt. It's fine to see negative, I'm definitely not saying that it's a perfect game by any means.

That's weird as hell that the CPU is doing the pump outside on you 24th. I've never seen that, nor the big man all star dribbling that you posted. I did have Byron Mullins for LAC hit a 3 on me with 8 seconds left on the shot clock a few days ago, but that's about as bad as it's been.

I seriously believe that the difference between the One version and PS4 is "different" whether it be tendencies not reading correctly, or something.

Regardless, I'll check on the video this evening. I did upload these to facebook last night. I'm going to have to try a hardwired connection to the PS4, as it's getting dreadfully slow to upload here lately. I can only upload 1 clip every 30-45 seconds or so, and then it takes a while to get another "ready" to upload. But here's a PG fastbreak:

                    <iframe width="640" height="390" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/3q_BSm0A_do" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

                    <iframe width="640" height="390" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/jm9eAubogMQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

                    <iframe width="640" height="390" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Wl2QsCyhFOE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Pretty slick windmill on the break. I had him go baseline for the reverse dunk last night too, but couldn't upload due to the issue above.

I think a lot of the frustration would be sidelined, at least on my end, if they would release a timeline as far as the next patch goes. Last time we got a major patch was over a month and a half ago. They are vague on twitter but it seems like it may be coming soon and will include a practice mode. Now, for those having issues with fast breaks, if they do include a practice mode ( and it looks like there's about a 90% chance they will) you can run plays and practice these fast breaks, so you become more successful in game. Also, keep in mind the difficulty you may be playing the game on, that is going to affect different aspects of your game.

I've seen the "Big Man" shake my PG out on the perimeter the other day. Can't quite remember who it was but instantly I was shocked because it was the first time so it stood out. I just brushed it off as it was the first time and I'm on PS4

My frustration is the lack of successful dives for the ball going out of bounds. Honestly? It's not even a dive, more like a slow, sad attempt to recover. As far as pacing, I played the UT team challenge with the top scores last year and I have up 5 points in the last 20 seconds and ended up losing. One thing I noticed is that lillard kept up with my pace, he pushed the ball and drew an and-1. Another issue still was the PIP, probably 80% of their points came in the paint. I haven't had any issues with the CPU calling timeouts late game, they always call timeouts if they are without 8 or 9 in the final mins.
