NHL 14 All-Time Rosters
I saw that tbayjordan already has a file like this out, but I wanted to try something slightly different. I don't have a PC, so I will need some help on this. I would need someone to input the all-time rosters I'm currently concocting on a Word document into NHLView (everything except the stats), and then I would go into the game manually and edit all of the ratings. If there is ANYONE out there who is interested in helping me out for this project, PLEASE say so in this thread or PM me. I think this project has great potential, but I will need someone who can help me out a great deal for this project to work. I've worked on large roster projects before, so you can be guaranteed that I'll be doing as much as I can to ensure that this project gets finished. It frustrates me that NHLView isn't compatible with Macs, otherwise I'd undertake this project all by myself, but I'll need someone to help for this project to come into fruition.Tags: None -
Re: NHL 14 All-Time Rosters
I'll post a list of the teams (as I have them so far) later tonight -
Re: NHL 14 All-Time Rosters
Ok, here are the teams I have so far. Only a few teams are finished, so don't judge this list too critically. I tried to list the teams' players like a depth chart, that is, from best to worst, by position. Some teams only have a few players listed, so again, don't look too much into those. Some teams, like Anaheim and Winnipeg/Atlanta, however, are closer to finished than others. This is a very rough draft of sorts. I'm just putting this out there so that you guys can get an idea of what I'm trying to come up with. Obviously, some teams will have way more players listed than would be possible for NHL 14 rosters. Since this is a rough draft, I'm trying to list as many legitimate possibilities for the final roster (some may be sent down to the AHL, I don't know yet) as I can fit. When judging what team a player should go on, I first looked at the player's best seasons and then what team he played for most in his career. I'm trying to capture the player's peak years in this roster, so I will take that over longevity with lesser results. So, players may not necessarily be assigned to the team they player for most in their career.

Re: NHL 14 All-Time Rosters
I know it's a rough draft, but I'll help you out with the Wild's brief history, as I'm from Minnesota. These guys may not have elite numbers by any means, but hold most sentimental value to the team.
Gaborik, Koivu, Parise and Suter (at the end of the day they'll be remembered as Wild players), Derek Boogaard, Brent Burns.
B-list: Wes Walz, Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Kyle Brodziak, Richard Park (Game 6 OT winner means a lot to us in MN), Brad Bombardir (go Sioux!), Manny Fernandez, Andrew Brunette, Cal Clutterbuck.NHL REVAMPED TEAM
DB Expert, Draft Prospects, College Prospects
GO SIOUX!

Re: NHL 14 All-Time Rosters
The thing is I need somebody who is willing to input the rosters into NHLView (which I can't do because I have a Mac). I talked with one person about it, but they haven't responded in a week or two.Comment

Re: NHL 14 All-Time Rosters
This sounds great! I'll inbox you with some of the teams I have already finalized. I'm also thinking making the all-time teams for countries would be cool to do as well.
EDIT: looks like I'll just have to post them here instead since I can't message you privately.Last edited by bhrangerfan0809; 02-28-2014, 02:49 AM.Comment

I would leave rod langway on capitals he is more famous for being on the capitals plus montreal will have so many players to choose from that you won't need him on montreal. you could also put pete peeters on the caps to give them better goaltending depth. Great job though this roster will probably be the most fun to play when its completed. I have made a few all time rosters in the past but the inability to remove helmets always ruined it because it seemed just not accurate using the 50's, 60's, 70's stars with helmets on.Comment

Re: NHL 14 All-Time Rosters
Thanks! I agree on the Langway bit, I realized that the win shares system can come up short in some instances (like this one), because even though Langway's three best seasons (win shares) were with MTL, he his only two Norrises with WAS. I'll be depending on people like you to point out any shortcomings that this system has (because obviously there will be some). Also, I have Peeters on Boston for right now, but I'll keep him in mind along with Langway once I've edited all of the teams and we can see as a community what teams we want certain disputed players on. Looking forward to completing this project!I would leave rod langway on capitals he is more famous for being on the capitals plus montreal will have so many players to choose from that you won't need him on montreal. you could also put pete peeters on the caps to give them better goaltending depth.
