In your opinion, best position to use in my career?

So as I wait for 2k to fix my champs store and update rosters, I've decided to start a new my career. I was a point guard in my first career, but am open to picking a new position.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback as it pertains to what position you like. If possible, list some pros and cons.

    Thanks guys.

I did a tall SF ... 6'8" or 6'9" I think. And I'm very happy with it. Gives you some versatility to cover other teams 2,3 & 4. Also tall enough for rebounds and for getting shots off. You can play inside or outside depending on matchup and team needs.

I play sf. But pg is the only option if you want any kind of offense running.

PG is the only option. Every other position is ruined because the team doesn't run any plays. I hate that I made a point forward and have to ask for the ball from the PG after every inbound just so I can run some plays. What a joke.

Center. I'm midway through my rookie season and I'm on pace to win ROY, DPOY, MVP and the scoring title. I'm leading the league in blocks by a large margin and I have a higher PER than Wilt Chamberlain. I've been averaging around 60 PPG in the last 5 or so games as well. The first few games are rough because of how it's scripted but eventually you get to dominate the games. There are times when your teammates do stupid things like take shots but the offense will eventually become catered to you.

I love playing the 4 and the 5. I havent had any issues with my teams running plays, they do so fine. If you play well the team will feed the post alot and give you plenty opportunities to score. Instead of playing like the second coming of Wilt, which is easy to do as a big, I like to try to draw double teams in the post and kick the ball out for threes or to my buddy in the post. Just dont go taller than 6'11" as your player ceases to jump at 7 or higher.

IMO, really depends on what you do. Try PG if you want to carry the ball and create plays. SG/SF depending on style either slasher/3 pt/def, for me either of these 2 I really like, you could demand for the ball and carry it, or just shoot or dunk. I havent tried PF or C coz in real life Im not a post-up player. And according to some OS posting in myC thread, C is tough specially if you create 7 or taller.

I might create a C at 6"11 with defensive prowess and decent post up and medium range.

Please upload some proof if you're going to make statements like that. I haven't seen anyone been able to have their team run plays when looking at footage on youtube. And don't tell me I have the wrong settings. I've turned every setting on and off in the game and the only time I've seen my team run plays in MyCareer is in a single practice session where the team ran a play for me every time.

Do you turn up the 'run plays' all the way up in-game?

If you pause, go to options, and click over to the left a few times, there's a screen with Run Plays, Zone Usage, & Bench Usage.

Bench usage doesn't affect the "bring game to within 5 points" glitch, but the run plays slider seems to work when I turn it up to 100.

Plays still break mid-way thru a lot of them, but at least there are sets at the start of a possession...instead of the PG dribbling his mind out.

This makes playing, as a SF, a little more tolerable for me.

Make a 6'4 PG so he can also play SG with ease!

I have played every position in the past and I enjoyed SF and PG the most.

I always find myself going back to PG eventually though and spening the most time on because I like to run the team and be the hub of the offense and that's where I play/played IRL but I do bump my guys height up a little to like D-Rose/Westbrook height because I'm a little shy of 6'0 IRL

I played a 6'7 sg for 2.5 seasons but eventually found that i was getting too good on hof-sim and could dominate by scoring points. I would pick and roll a lot but it got a bit boring.

But at times when i let the game flow i did noticed it was much more satisfying than ball hogging. Teammates played better and i started to have fun as a facilitator.

So i decided to start a 6'7 pg and landed on the pistons. I am planning on running the lakers as soon as possible like magic. Now i do my scoring but also am dishing assists and its fun. And i can run plays which is new too vs my old sg and im really in control, by the way running plays with the on court coach is bugged so dont expect to run plays with anything other than a pg.

Im avg 20 points, 7assists and 4.5 rebounds on 20 minutes per game. Taking my time on this career and play longer than i did before when played on 6 min quarters

Did I or did I not tell you to not bother telling me about changing settings. I told you I've tried everything and none of the settings do anything. I'm pretty convinced that people who think plays are run just because motion offense, freelance offense and inbounds plays are being run regardless whether you put plays on or not. No regular plays are run, ever.

Prove me wrong. Either post a video of your team independently running plays in MyCareer or you can have me stream and you can tell me exactly what it is I'm supposedly doing wrong.
