Well, improved is maybe going a bit too far at this point. Changed perhaps, but who knows if everyone will see them as better than 13's physics until its in their hands.
As long as ground balls down the line get to the wall I'll be happy.Comment

Groundballs down the line, line drives over the head of outfielders, and bloopers over the infield that actually fall. Those are the types of hits this game lacks enough of.Comment

Heck no, you obviously have not seen high end PC graphics, ps3 games look dated, even the show compared to what can be done. The lack of detail especially on the distance only 720p 30 fps. going to 1080p alone will make IQ way better.
Play bf4 on ps3 then ps4...massive difference. Not to mention way more power developers can add more to games without sacrificing, like better worlds, better AI, lighting, tesselation, smoother edges. Going from ps3 to ps4 is a big leap, you are talking 512 mb ram and a very old GPU.
I'm not expecting the PS4 to wow me like the advancement the PS3 has made since the days of the PS2. Not on a flat panel without 3D at least.Comment

Top end CPU graphics are not massively better than top end PS3 graphics. Better hell yeah but not anywhere as drastic as the jump from the PS2 to the PS3. All you need to do is pop in GTA3 then compare it to GTA5. Now that's massive.

NEver said the jump was as big the jump will never ve as big again as ps2 and xbox were stuck in Standard definition.
But it is still a significant jump, and as more game start using more next gen features people will see that,Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Features Online Franchise - New Screenshots and Videos From Taiwa
Hey guys, long-time OS reader, first-time poster.
I have been playing MLB The Show since the PS2 days. In my opinion, it is the most realistic sports game around. I am chomping at the bits for the '14 edition to come out.
One feature that I would love to eventually be integrated into the game would be the ability to sim games and have the actual results. I pretty much only play the franchise mode, and it would be great to have the simulated results be as close to the actual MLB results as possible.
For example, right now I am playing The Show '13, and in my franchises, I'll simulate the entire 2013 season in order to start out in the 2014 season. The problem is when I simulate I get very unrealistic results (IE the Brewers winning the 2013 World Series). I just thought by having accurate sim results, it would make for a better game to play in November, December, and January when we are all waiting for the new version to come out.
I know this could be possible, because NBA2K14 already has a feature where you can begin a season on the current date, and start the season with actual records and results. Just wondering if anyone thinks that would ever be something The Show would do?Comment
