                  Per Piratesprospects.com:

"According to Baseball America, the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed outfielder Quincy Latimore to a minor league contract. He spent the first six seasons of his career in the Pirates system after they took him in the fourth round of the 2007 amateur draft out of high school. Latimore just turned 25 this week. He has a career .248/.310/.409 slash line over 732 games. In 2010 for Bradenton, he hit .266 with 19 homers and 100 RBIs."

"The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced the signing of catcher Omir Santos to a minor league deal that comes with an invite to Spring Training. The 32-year-old has played parts of five seasons in the majors, spending this last year with the Cleveland Indians. He played just one game in the majors last year, spending the rest of the season in AAA, where he had a .639 OPS in 61 games. In his major league career, he has a .248/.280/.363 slash line in 122 games."

                    Re: 2014 OSFM: Pittsburgh Pirates

Thanks Kharmo88, I made the update to the 90 man roster post.

Not sure how it's all going to play out so right now the Triple and Double A teams have an extra player or two.

Santos may end up being a player/coach in Triple A if Sanchez doesn't get much playing time in the majors this year.

I expect Latimore to be the 4th outfilder in Double A.

Hey guys. Just wanted to get your opinions on the information released today. I haven't had a chance to check all sources yet, but was any information released that will impact the creation of players for OSFM?

I am bummed that the PS3 version won't be out until April 1st. I understand they had a lot to do on the PS4 and maybe they got behind on all platforms. I will be sticking with PS3 for this year and probably next year. I hope to get a PS4 soon though.

Bad news is we probably won't get OSFM until late April/early May.

Good news is that by April 1st the MLB and MiLB rosters will be final and we wont have to do any guess work.
