Trying raising your strength slider. I'm not sure if your using custom sliders or the default, but raising the user strength might help.

An example might be: (user) strength. 75 (CPU) strength 50

I have driving contact frequency at 75 for both
Inside contact at 100 for both
Layup defense gather @ 75 for both
Layup defense release @ 60 for both

Contact shot success is at 50

I'm getting some nice animations and and 1 with these
