2014 Off-Season Franchise Updates (Madden 12), and Rosters (Madden 25, Madden 13, and Madden 12) - Outline of Updates & Changes


Rosters: (applies to M12 franchise file, M12 roster file, M13 roster file, M25 roster file)

Free Agents Released - Update #1: (available after March 11, 2014)
  • Built on ported Madden 25 roster; final EA official roster update
  • Teams Re-Sign their own Free-Agents & Franchise Tags (for current players with expired contracts)
  • Cut all Free Agents that are/were available on Day 1 of FA

Free Agents Signed - Update #2: (available around April 15, 2014)
  • Sign FA's to new teams (w/ correct contracts; Total/Bonus/Years only, not structured the same as IRL, that would take forever) leading up to 2014 Rookie Draft.

Rookie Class Signed - Update #3: (available after May 10, 2014)
  • Import Rookies to their new teams from the Draft Class to the Roster after the 2014 Rookie Draft is over. Signed to realistic contracts based on their draft position.


Coaches:
  • Re-name generic coaches (HC, OC, DC, ST) as they appeared in M12.
  • Create Missing Coaches.
  • Sign Coaches to Correct Teams.
  • Adjust Approval Ratings.
  • Adjust OFF Playbooks (Chip Kelly as an example) as needed.
  • Adjust DEF Playbooks as needed.
  • Adjust DEF Schemes as needed.


Draft Class:
  • Create a .CSV Draft Class based on NFL Combine measurements and performances (NFL Draft Scout predictions for players who do not workout; I'm not waiting around until late April to get everyone's Pro Day numbers), NFL.com Draft Prospect Rankings, Mock Drafts (not McShay or Kiper; please don't argue this specific point... feel free to change anything you may not like yourself)


Franchise Version Features:

Franchise #1 (available after March 11, 2014; post-combine, Day #1 of FA)
  • Coaches & Schemes Updated
  • Free Agents Released - Roster Update #1
  • Draft Class
  • Franchise Starts in Owner Mode Off-Season, where USER controlled teams can be changed; all expired contract players are either signed to a contract or already cut, bypassing the Re-Sign/Cut Players event in the Off-Season.
  • This Franchise is ready for you to sign free agents as you see fit, and draft players to your liking.


Franchise #2 (available around April 15, 2014)
  • Coaches & Schemes Updated
  • Free Agents Signed - Roster Update #2
  • Draft Class
  • Franchise Starts in Owner Mode Off-Season, where USER controlled teams can be changed; all newly signed Free Agents (In Real Life) are already signed, all expired contract players already cut.
  • This Franchise will already have actual free agents signed to their correct teams, and will be ready for you to draft players to your liking.

Franchise #3 (available after May 10, 2014; post-draft)
  • Coaches & Schemes Updated
  • Rookie Class Signed - Roster Update #3
  • NFL Schedule 2014-2015 (released on April 15, 2014)
  • Draft Selections (2015 draft selections)
  • Franchise Starts at Week 1 of Season #1 (Off-Season is bypassed)
  • This Franchise version begins in Week #1 of 2014-2015 NFL season; ALL 32 teams controlled, "camp" CPU players from preseason deleted, random EA Draft Class, corrected 2014-2015 NFL schedule, corrected Team Draft Selections for the 2015 Draft (based on the actual trades made before, during, and after the 2014 Draft). This Franchise file will be ready to play immediately after loading.
