Man terrible news about not being on next gen. I was all set to buy it when it arrived but now will pass on it. They say it's because current gen has the largest audience well then why didn't they do the same with Fifa 14. I never saw this coming. I want to go forward not backwards especially now that we have next gen soccer already.

The next gen games already have the world cup in them. My pro was selected to play in it in the first year on ps4. Then I was selected and won the tournament the next time it was held. Which was three or four years for those wondering. They worked international friendlies into the whole schedule and as a manager you can apply to coach the national team. Believe me the world cup is already on next gen.Comment

Seems a strange decision not to release on next gen thats for sure and feel for those who will now miss out.
On the positive side, World Cup 2010 remains one of my favourite ever games and I still play it occasionally even now. I didn't like Euro 2012 at all so I am glad we will get a fully (or nearly fully) licensed standalone title this time around. Does seem odd though that Ea couldn't even produce a dlc for next gen.Comment

This is a stupid move by EA but it could show they have already lost faith in their "Ignite Engine" that powers the next gen games. Their excuse of saying there are more PS3/360 owners so there wasn't a need to make a next gen version doesn't hold water because why did they feel the need to make next gen versions of FIFA/Madden/NBA Live (exclusive to next gen)/UFC (exclusive to next gen)? If they are so worried about which system has more owners then they wouldn't have made any of those games and especially wouldn't have made 2 of those next gen only.
Telling people who own the PS4/XB1 to just play FUT in FIFA 14 shows that it's just a cash grab in every sense.PSN: PanicshadeLWK

I don't think so. The next-gen games didn't really set the world on fire with greatness. FIFA got the most praise of that bunch but Madden fell flat and NBA Live was a dumpster fire they are still trying to put out and fix. UFC is their last game of that initial bunch and if it doesn't perform well then they will need to seriously refocus on what they want to do for their next gen games. So far the only footage we have seen from UFC was a CGI trailer and screenshots and we all know how well that turned out for NBA Live.Last edited by Panicshade; 02-06-2014, 11:46 AM.PSN: PanicshadeLWK

What's the expected price of the game gonna be? And how will the release of this game impact the price of fifa14?
I'm gonna get a soccer game in a few months so I want to know if I should get this one, or hold off on getting fifa 14 until after this is released.Comment

This is pretty sad. A game like World Cup on Next-Gen would have been sick. Hell, I'm sure it would have been a system-seller for quite a few people if it was enough of an upgrade.
I can see where they're coming from, though. The new consoles just released internationally for the most part. And I wouldn't doubt that their biggest market is still the Current-Gen audience, but that didn't stop them with FIFA, Madden, NBA Live, and UFC.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

EA can seriously suck my balls. I got rid of my 360 FIFA in favor of the next gen just to get ****ed out of something I really wanted. Thanks EA for helping the "majority" of the people.Comment
