Re: OS Roundtable: If You Could Add One Feature To Madden...
Penalties that actually work. Offsetting penalties. Weather that actually effects games. Botched snaps on both offense and special teams. The ability to hit players late after the whistle. And for God sake, fix the Wide Receiver AI....there is no reason a 6'6 WR on a fade route lets a 5'10 DB get in front of him, and jump over him to make a play on the ball.
I know that's more than "1 feature" but it's 2014 and Madden needs a hell of a lot more than just suggestions for "1" feature for the detrimental hole the game is in.Comment

Similar to min speed threshold: I would like slider that tweaks momentum (forward and backwards).

Tiered play calling with separate line and secondary calls. Also a more streamlined way of changing defensive assignments similar to 2ks game. The offense can change every route in seconds while on defense a player has to manually move to each individual to change their assignments. It's too unbalanced as it is.Comment

Re: OS Roundtable: If You Could Add One Feature To Madden...
I'm going to go a different route, since a lot of what I have thought has been mentioned.
I'd like to see the playcalling screen cleaner and much more simplified. For one, when I go to the play call screen, I'd like it to not block half (or with two players the entire) screen. It just doesn't make sense why I can't see what's happening on the field--be it cut scenes or actual replays--just because I'm picking a play (remember, Madden AND 2K have done this before by giving us a small window of what's happening on screen WHILE the plays are being selected. So this can easily be done).
Coupled with this, I'd prefer the plays to be bigger on the screen, and I would also love to know, before I'm picking a passing play, how many steps the quaterback will drop back. Slant routes are easy--it's one step back and get it out. Shot gun is obvious--no drop back really required. But everything else, I need to know if it's a three, five, or seven step drop so that I can best determine how much time I'll have in the pocket.Last edited by PacMan3000; 02-14-2014, 05:17 PM.Comment

Re: OS Roundtable: If You Could Add One Feature To Madden...
Without being facetious....I'd add the SCEA San Diego studio development team! Ok, that may be my "Madden bucket list item", but man, wouldn't it be awesome to see what Ramone and company could do? lol
Obviously that will never happen. So I would settle for just fixing all the things wrong with this game. I think this thread has touched on just about all of the various legacy, and other issues (schemes, xp, injury, player sub/formation, WR/DB interaction, wind meter, sliders, penalties, etc) that either don't work or don't work properly. No more excuses, no more "wait until next year", just fix them. Please and thank you.Comment

Re: OS Roundtable: If You Could Add One Feature To Madden...
This isn't huge, but what I'd really like to see is more detailed info about my online opponent before I fire a game up in quick match.
Right after a match I can see how my overall online stats compare to theirs, so it's weird to me that I can see that in advance.Comment

Re: OS Roundtable: If You Could Add One Feature To Madden...
I just thought of the one thing I want:
The ability to set the length of simulated games in franchise mode, so that I could play my own games at say 5 minute quarters for example, and still have the stats line up.
As is you are forced to play really long games if you want to be among the league leaders, and it just takes too much time and energy to run through a franchise. I haven't played a franchise or dynasty mode in an EA football game for years because of this.
That, without a doubt, would be the one thing I would add.Comment

Re: OS Roundtable: If You Could Add One Feature To Madden...
Correct basic math.
An 8-8-0 team and an 8-7-1 team should not both have a .500 winning %. The 8-7-1 team should be .531.
Madden does not properly factor in ties to winning %.
So, my wish is for basic math formula's to be correct.Comment

Re: OS Roundtable: If You Could Add One Feature To Madden...
Ummmm, a tie is not a win and in this case EA is actually correct. The have WON 50% of their games, A tie does not count as half of a win, it is a Tie, 8-7-1 is a .500 winning percentage. That is basic math.Comment
