    Re: GJD23 & WTBB's Madden 25 All-Madden Sliders

Been giving this a try and mostly liking the results. Although no one has lost a game in our Online League, most the games are very close.

There are a couple of things that jump out at me that I am hoping to get advice on:

    1) Sacks. We see guys like Conner Barwin getting as many as 7 sacks a game. Kind of drives me nuts when I see the boxscore. The guy who just got that last game assures me that he never user controls the lineman and that most his sacks come on simple Cover 3 plays where the QB rolls into the sack. Anyone have a fix for this?

    2) Returns. For now, we've just outlawed user control of kick returners. We'd see at least one long runback every other game. Percy Harvin has averaged about 40 yards per kick return for my team and Ted Ginn has averaged about 15 per punt.

AI control on returns seems to be the answer for one, but I simply can't seem to find a way to stop the roll-out sacks. I wish QBs would throw away passes more.

Other than that, sometimes INTs are a bit high(4-6 INT games are not uncommon) and inside running can be a bit too easy, but I'd be happy with slowing down the sacks to start.

    Any suggestions?

Beyond that, these have been wonderful settings. Just would like to see a little more doubt put into winning and easy sacks eliminated might be a good place to start.

    Thanks in advance!

ya sacks are still a big problem for me. gonna try turning the pass block slider up a decent amount and see if it works. that and the run game are my only 2 quips with these sliders.

i dont think much can be done about the user run game this year though its just too damn strong regardless of sliders. at least i havent come across any that can tone it down yet.

i really like the way pass game feels. defenders dont make plays on balls they can't see/arent in position to stop but you're still heavily punished for mistakes.

Turning the pass block up will make the CPU QB think he has more time, therefore he will get sacked even more.

they need more time. im getting like 12+ sacks every game and maybe 1 or 2 that are those cheesy rollout sacks. 7-0 this season and no one had scored over 12 points.

and i meant like 60+ on the slider not 5 or 10.

Yeah. Wish I could find something. Not like we are trying to get sacks. Just letting the computer play out defense and after 10 games, Barwin has 35 sacks. Ugh.

Wish there was some magic balance that had QBs throwing away the ball more and running into sacks less.

Just finished destroying the Colts at home: 42-6. Game was complete domination from start to finish. Colts offense couldn't get anything done, especially with Mr. Fumble (Sidney Rice) himself from Super Bowl L on their squad. Andrew Luck couldn't get good looks, and often threw the ball away. Once I put a stop to their run game by going up 21-0 in the 2nd, they had no choice but to become predictable and just sling the ball around. I have to admit though, Trent Richardson is a handful in this game. But once they were forced to pass, my whole defense dialed in on Luck and beat the heck out of him. He was sacked 4 times and threw 3 picks and only connected on 48% of his passes. I think this is the first game all season where I have allowed 0 tds too.

Their defense is terrible and couldn't stop anything that I was doing. My first drive was only 2 plays, and I caught the Colts D playing too close to the line in anticipation of a Thomas run. Renner connected with Moore on a 56 yd TD pass. Being up 28-3 at the end of the 3rd, I chose to sit Renner and Thomas and let my rookies get some PT. Still managed to score 14 pts.

6 min and some change left in the game, Raiders up 20-7 with Bridgewater and the Chiefs marching down the field. I call Cover 3 and Bridgewater thinks he sees his man open on the flat and locks on. As soon as Bridgewater begins to throw, Branch commits and goes for it!

                        That about seals the game

                          KC 14 (3-4) @ OAK 27 (7-1)

                          Turnovers everywhere!

Both defenses brought it in big ways scoring 14 pts and forcing 9 TOs combined. I hit the lottery too with Jamal Charles being out. It started in the 1st qtr on the Chiefs first drive when Bridgewater threw a pick in the endzone. Raiders take the ball down the field only to get a FG to go up 3-0 to end the 1st.

Both teams traded 3 and outs and when the Raiders got the ball, Reece gets nailed by Shiloh Keo and loses the ball. Dennis Johnson picks up the ball and runs it back for 6, putting KC up 7-3. The Raiders didn't score until the end of the 2nd when Renner threw a 8 yd TD pass to Moore on a slant to put OAK up 10-7 to close out the half.

Renner went to Moore often, but the Chiefs played a lot of zone and Flowers covered him perfectly, getting 2 INTS off of Renner. Thomas, who'd been shut down all day, started to see daylight and he went for some decent runs, paired with a 50+ yd screen pass.Renner then hit Reece on a PA Rollout in the flat for the TD, putting OAK up 17-7.

Bridgewater, trying to lead his team to a comeback, just couldn't get going. His 3rd INT cost his team 3 points and put the Raiders up 20-7 with 12:14 to go in the game. Then with 6:56 left in the game, Bridgewater made a costly mistake and threw the ball to Tyvon Branch who then took it home for 6, sealing the game for OAK. On the next drive, the Chiefs went down the field and scored a TD off of a run from backup RB Q. Janvion to make the score 27-14, which would end up being the final after the Raiders stopped the Chiefs after a Lunsford fumble when I was trying to close out the game.

                          Here are some stats:

Chiefs now have 25 turnovers this year. Guess they got the memo about turnovers being important.

If the #Raiders defense can keep this up, their D will be hard to deal with.

                          Media Question:
At the midway point your team's in a good spot. How far do you think this team can go?
                          Answer:
I believe we're showing a Super Bowl caliber team. There's lot's of football left, but it's time to think big.

                          Next game: Bye (7-1)
