Re: NBA 2K15 Wishlist
1. I would like to see more fouls called out on the perimeter, as everybody knows the game has changed so much in real life that now all the advantages on the perimeter go to the offensive player. When Durant, wade, Kobe, Melo are sizing up their defender and setting them up many defenders will try to push up on them or reach and consequently be called for a personal foul. It also leads to a change in balance because if a Durant or bron or Melo gets called for 2 quick fouls it can lead to the other team being able to hang in for Long periods of the game, momentum swings.
2. I would like to see a revamped crowd and momentum swing type system. I have always believed in every sports game their should be a momentum bar or meter because it is part of the game. We see all the type now a couple offensive plays or defensive plays in a row that can sway the could into a frenzy or shut them up especially in critical moments. When the playoffs come around that type of swing can ultimately win or lose a game for you and sometimes one player can singlehandedly win and lose a game for you.
3. I would like to have the experience of seeing a player just get hot and to the point and score 50-60 point game. It happens in real life while it might happen weekly, I have never played a game in 2k in all my years where a player gets hot and his teammates just feed him the ball, and while that happens I want to see my team losing their confidence and be emotionally distraught because they know their is nothing they can do. Those type of experiences are what makes the NBA what it is, those performances that just make you say wow.
4. I would like to see in association mode a section where you can see highlights of other games that have been played during the week or are currently being played. Kind of like a sportscenter type section with interviews from a Stephen a smith, skip bayless, Barkley, Kenny smith, Shaw, jalen rose, bill Simmons, magic Johnson. Something to the extent where we know what's going on around the league and we can get other peoples opinions on predictions and who are the favorites to win. They can also go into depth on mid season awards and pre season awards and they can also comment on the off season and what might happen, what could happen. You know like a real life because things change every single day and we like to know what other people think, and you can also have the players fire back at what the analysts say have it all intertwined. If my time is doing terrible I want to know what they think.
5. I would like to see the big games in the season really matter more and the intensity rise and the emotion really play out to a higher extent. Like in todays NBA (Mia vs. Okc), ( Mia vs chi), ( okc vs. Lac), ( bos vs. Ny), ( ny vs. Mia), Mia vs. Indy, okc vs. Port, hou vs. Port, all those the games matter more not only because of playoff ramifications but the players don't like each other. I hope to be able to build rivalries in the association by playing numerous close games against an opponent or meeting the same opponent in consecutive years in the playoffs. I just think that certain games need to be ratcheted up more and the crowd can really have a big effect on those games or no effect at all.
6. I would like to see a revamped CPU gm logic, basically making it that if a team wants to rebuild by dumping contracts and acquiring picks they need to have that built into their thinking but not into their whole organization, mainly when something like that occurs its the gms idea. So when the owner hires gm I think it would be best to give him a deadline or aka (contract) and if it doesn't work out then well guess what the gm gets fired. I'm thinking though just because that certain gm failed with one organization by way of rebuild does not mean he will automatically fail by way of rebuild with another organization. In my opinion I would like to see unpredictability from organization to organization and owner to owner. It is evident because even this year the Lakers cannot buy their way to a championship as they usually and they have some big decisions to make. In my opinion nothing is guaranteed.
7. I would like to see multiple different potential ratings for players. As we all know not every first round pick turns out to be an all star, I think it would be smart to have each player have his potential rating a range of numbers and depending on his production during the year and consistency throughout his career and also are the players numbers increasing from year to year. Such as ppg, RPG, apg are they increasing from year to yet then I don't have a problem with the potential rating being increased. However after the players 5th or 6th year in the league I think the potential rating should be set in stone, i would like to see the rating have a variance so that you don't end up with the same ratings in every single association we play.
8. I would like to see injuries affect players performance on the court and it actually be evident. I want to see lingering injuries keep popping up throughout the season, such as if a certain player has a strained hamstring, deep ankle sprain, sprained shoulder, ligament damage or whatver. Lingering injuries can severley hinder ones play and i want that to be evident, show some cut scenes showing some angst in the players face.
9. I would like to see trades go further in depth from the standpoint of let us trade 5,6,7 years ahead of time in yes of draft picks if we are trying to acquire a superstar player. I think you need you to make the CPU stop be so damn stingy and this ties in to the organizations and different gms roles and personalities willing to make trades to build for the future. On the other hand if I'm trying to rebuild I want an offer of multiple picks and salary dumping contracts to set my sights on the future. Its part of the NBA and I think it needs to be recognized.
10. I would really like to see player development in a different action. Nowadays usually players truly by on court action, now the problem is in 2k most of the time a player is only going to play up to his ratings where as in real life a rookie could come in, in his very first game and score 25 points. We just don't know until that rookie gets a chance to play because in real life that player doesn't have a rating. With 2k chances are that rookie isn't going to score 25 in his first game unless he is top 5 pick. I really don't think that is fair it takes the unpredictability out of it. I think there needs to be a hot and cold streak Instead of ratings for first and second year players. After their full 2nd season in the league then 2k establishes a rating going forward. For the already established players in the league the hot and cold streak needs to be very balanced because you have to ask yourself for lbj, kd, Melo, Steph curry, kyrie what is hot and what is cold. If lebron is averaging his usual stats and kd is averaging his usual stats he shouldn't be notified as being on a hot streak, in game is a different scenario. I just think for rookies don't them an established rating because the unpredictability is taking out. Even if a player is drafted top 5 that doesn't mean their first game they should be dropping double doubles ( Greg oden "cough cough".
p.s. All of mine are for association mode, EVERY OTHER MODE IN THE GAME SHOULD BE DESTROYEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSDDDDDSDDSDDDDDDDDD DDDDDD
