Keeping track of stats
I want to create a book in excel that i can enter in my stats on different sheets every week and then have one sheet that keeps a running total of the stats as i input them. I was wondering if anyone had already created something like this that they could send me? Or at least help me set up one for myself. Before you suggest it, I can't use the table generators on here because i don't have internet at my house. I'm posting this while at a friends houseCheck out my dynasty thread:

Re: Keeping track of stats
I have a spreadsheet that I've used for the past few years that I created myself. However, I've never added any formulas to total up any numbers or stats; if I've ever needed to do it for any reason, I've just totaled it myself... The game keeps career stats, so I've never had the need, and I'm not extremely fluent in Excel either.I want to create a book in excel that i can enter in my stats on different sheets every week and then have one sheet that keeps a running total of the stats as i input them. I basically started using it back in Madden 10/11 for my offline franchise I would keep all the important stats down and use it year to year to track progression and improvement. I still use it now, but I don't fill in each players stats anymore, just their progression from season start to finish to determine if a player has improved reasonably over time.
If that's something you are interested in, shoot me a PM and I can send you the spreadsheet. -

Re: Keeping track of stats
Excel can definitely use data from other sheets and even other Excel workbooks. To get it to auto total you need to add two extra sheets, one at the start and one at the end. So the bottom would look something like:
|Start|Week 1|Week 2|... |Week 17|End|
Where each of those is a sheet for each game. Then, make a new sheet before the sheet called "Start" for the totals and use the formula "=SUM(Start:End!XX)" where XX equals the cell that you want totaled. I do this for my baseball team and it works really well.Comment

Re: Keeping track of stats
Try this. I got interested in this. Production is off of another persons sheet that I had been using. His didnt have rushing/receptions added and didnt do total production for position. I also tried to work in production on the OL for team passing/rushing yards over/under the league average. I used real life #16 ranked team in team rushing/passing as the #'s in the formula. It is set up so that on the start page you put in your teams personnel and it will automatically take it to every other page. I have not tested this out and i didnt lock anything so if you want to change/fix anything good luck.Attached FilesComment

Re: Keeping track of stats
K if anyone is actually trying to use this then uploaded a cleaner copy.
Apparently some of the formulas didnt copy over as I was making all the weekly sheets so i have fixed that. Also cleaned up some of the stuff on first page. Pay no mind to my names n such. Did a preseason game on my raiders ccm and put it in to test it some.
Oh and if you are wondering I left the extra spaces, IE 4 QB slots for preseason/picking up people when you put people on IR.Attached FilesComment

Edit: Just realized that the names only copy until week 14. How do i fix that?Last edited by whughes; 03-05-2014, 12:50 AM.Check out my dynasty thread:
