Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)
I know this isn't an 'Ask the devs' thread but since you guys are here, are there any changes to pitching or hitting or fielding control schemes beyond the PCI change and the RTTS fielding change? I can't wait to have the game and explore every nook and cranny!Comment

That I'm aware, there aren't any new control schemes, but some of the existing ones have been further tuned. The new dynamic catch region and pick off cameras definitely will freshen up some aspects of fielding."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

I'm really looking forward to seeing more about this dynamice catch region. I just hope it's easier to make diving catches and rob homeruns. I don't know about everyone else but it was impossible for me the old way.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)
I have been thinking about this for a few minutes.
When it comes to cross platform saves e.g. The Show 14 PS3 to the Show 15 PS4…..it has to be through cloud saving right? And what about PS3 The Show 14 to PS3 The Show 15? Cloud only or can we use our memory sticks to copy and load the save? Same with rosters.
Because there is no USB port for a flash drive on the PS4 right now correct? Or is there? I am not sure.
Anyone know the answer? Now Playing on PS5:

MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1

That's it……I am just staying out of all these threads……people are getting way too uptight and their panties in a bunch.
I said I did not know something……and your answer was condescending. I have not even looked at a picture or seen a PS4….I had heard there is no MP3 support right now on them…..so I asked a question about USB ports……you answered me like I already knew. If i had seen a PS4…..I would have never asked this question…..I know what a freaking USB port is.
I did not know……that's why I asked.
Sheesh.
And again…….is the cross platform saving only via cloud….or can we just use our flash drives to do it, or both. Now Playing on PS5:

Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)
Refined player generation, with more position-specific attribute ranges (Online Franchise)
New contract decision logic, which factors in contract renewable and arbitration status more heavily (Online Franchise)
New lineup logic that takes into account secondary positions (Online Franchise)
Refined trade logic (Online Franchise)
Retired players stored for every season (Online Franchise)
More player stats stored for every season (Online Franchise)
These listed features are MASSIVE enhancements that are well overdue. Can a dev please verify if these are indeed in the offline mode?
Due to my location, I have terrible internet (and so do my friends/neighbors who I've also sold on this game), and we don't want to have to fight our connection in order to play the most complete version of the franchise mode.
These enhancements are great (as these issues have been the worst part of an otherwise fantastic franchise mode). And it would be SUPREMELY disappointing if only those who play the online version would get them.
I've been buying this game on multiple systems (handhelds, old gen, current gen, and even bought a PS4 for it) since its inception. I feel I'm as important of a customer as anybody who is playing online.
The only reason I can see franchise-enhancements like these being exclusive to online players only, is to increase potential micro-transaction customers (e.g. offline franchise people who don't connect, can't be monetized).
Can a Dev, community manager, or anybody affiliated with this site who has insider connections please verify if these enhancements are indeed in the offline franchise mode as well?
The answer will help me as a customer, and will say a lot about the publisher, and whether or not they deserve my support going forward.
Thanks.Last edited by MantiMania; 03-04-2014, 01:53 AM.Comment
