quitting glitch

I played a guy who was 60-4 and at the 3rd qtr i'm down by 2 55-53. He pushes start and waits till 44 seconds left. quits the game and I receive the loss. I messaged him and he flat out admits thats how he gets Ws and proceeds to laugh. This is the first time I experienced this glitch. How long has this been going on for?

never happened to me but one time i played a guy who crushed me but then at the end of the game 2k glitched out or something and the game went into overtime.
has this happened to anyone???????

were u playing a road to playoff game or just a online ranked match?
