I won't lie , I haven't followed every vid since I view on my phone, so I've missed some episodes but I like the commentary. Id like to see you put in some more great defensive stops, or even 1v1 moves even if it doesn't pan out to a goal.

    Either way, good job.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Definitely will incorporate some of your suggestions eF 5ive, and ADHAMM3R Martial is definitely a big target of mine because of his potential. I'm thinking for this window not sure about bringing him in, but the strikers I bring in will basically have those months to impress me and if not then Martial will be one of my top targets in the summer.

Will have the next episode out soon.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Started a manager career with Sunderland. Did some major changes to the team as one of my policies is: if a team pays for one of my players more than he values, I have to sell him (even if it's the team's star or an important player or a good prospect, doesn't matter). With this, I had to sell some key players, but I made sure to make good use of the money.
Out: Ignacio Scocco – 4,2 Mi to Catania
Carlos Cuellar – 850.000 to Aston Villa
Adam Johnson – 6 MI to Fulham
Phil Bardsley + 12.5 MI for Gaston Ramirez to Southampton
Steven Fletcher – 7,5 MI to Aston Villa
Wes Brown – 975.000 to West Brom

In: Gastón Ramirez – 12.5 MI + Phil Bardsley from Southampton
Andros Townsend – 3.1 MI from Tottenham
      David N’Gog – 1.9 MI from Swansea
Luke Shaw – 8.5 MI from Southampton
Nicklas Bendtner – 4.5 MI from Arsenal

Ramirez and Townsend were in my plans since the beginning. N'Gog was bought to be my backup striker and give Altidore/Fletcher some rest, but after I sold Fletcher I had to buy another starter and saw the perfect oportunity in Bendtner, who I'm gladly discovering as a beast in this game.
At last but not least, Shaw is a good and young left back as I needed to change my formation to 4-4-2 when Wes Brown was sold (I begun with 3-5-2)

The first season transfer window just closed and now my team is looking like this:
      Ustari
      Gardner-O'Shea-Roberge-Shaw
      Cattermole
      Townsend-Giaccherini
      Ramirez
      Bendtner-Altidore

and I really think I can exceed the board expectatives of just avoiding relegation

I am the master of my fate

I like to play in MLS but I feel like there is so much more in other countries. I did a CM with AC Milan and had fun for a little but its not really challenging, any help? But since I live in the U.S., I prefer to play in the MLS.

So my final question for CM freaks like me, is there a MLS team that meets my requirements, if not, can you list other clubs that do meet requirements of mine?

Also, I play professional-6 minutes and it seems fine to play with for me on Xbox 360.

I will continue to update the forum once i've selected a team with some help from my fellow CM-ers!
I play MLS, but i move them into Chile and drop Chivas.... I then put best Chile teams in Columbia, only about 5 chile teams, rest of the 18 go n mls with columbian teams who were replaced...

this allows MLS to play in South American champions league.

to answer your question tho, I would say Houston based on where your from, they have decent budget, need work, could sell bruin and davis.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

My career has been going fine. I finished in 6th with Liverpool my first time around. I am in 2nd right now. Doing well in the Euro League too. Into the semi-finals. I wasted my financial takeover on a different campaign. It will be a while before I get to level 39 for the next one. I am at level 33.

Is anyone willing to gift me a financial takeover? I am a PS4 user. LiverpoolDCVCU is my user name. I will make it worth your while by gifting you anything I have access to. Thanks.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

So after narrowing down about 10 teams I decided to go with Real Sociedad

Playing world class, 6min halves, no first transfer window

I don't really follow the bbva so I came into the squad expecting to do a complete overhaul but was surprised to find the perfect balance of old and young players I was looking for.
I went through each player to see the depth I have in each role to find I have cover for every position. I then set up a youth academy in Portugal

I won all 3 of my friendlies the most notable was 4-0 thrashing of west ham and went into my my first game against grafe which I won 2-0 but at the cost of my CM picking up a broken foot and is out for 4 months and my CB out for 2 weeks

Will post with an update tomorrow

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Oh man, I have been on fire with Villarreal. All I had to do was move to a regular 4-3-3 with Remy as my striker and Grosicki out wide on the left. I'm 19 games into the season and lead the league by two points over Barcelona, with just two losses!

My boy dos Santos has been on fire, dribbling like a madman and racking up 11 goals in 19 games. Remy has eight, with seven assists; Kalas has been the surprise package, chipping in with a smashing 11 assists, mostly via crosses! Dani Alves who?

It's January, and I've sold a couple of surplus players like Lejeune and Juan Carlos. I've been getting loads of offers for €14 million-rated Giovani dos Santos, countering each time with €40 million just to test the waters. Bayern and Barcelona came in with offers around the €20 million mark; both were willing to go as high as €30 million. Chelsea only bid €16 million but were willing to pay €32 million. PSV offered €24.5 million but passed up my counter-offer altogether. It looks like I could sell Gio for as much as €50 million in the summer to the right club (Madrid, PSG, City) should I choose to cash in, but if he's this good I might keep him for at least my first one or two Champions League campaigns.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

                Bayern Munich 2019-20 update!

                February 1st, 2020.

Xherdan Shaqiri mulled over a move away from Bayern for a good part of the first season. He cemented his decision to leave just before the transfer window opened. He was sold to Chelsea for 23.5 mil.

Other transfers out were a handful of youth players on loan, with no one else significant leaving.

                No one was brought in.

This is now how my ideal team looks:

                Starting XI:

                (modified 4-5-1, more like a 4-1-4-1)

                Neuer

                Boateng - Badstuber - Mero - Alaba

                Kroos

                Muller - Gotze - Draxler - Bruma

                Lewandowski

                Bench:

                Kachunga (ST, 79 ovr)
                Hojbjerg (CM, 84 ovr)
                Schnellhardt (GK, 71 ovr...youth prospect)
Cavare (LM, 78 ovr... I believe its the Ribery regen)
                Streker (CDM, 81 ovr)
                Hauser (LB, 80 ovr)
                Goretzka (CM, 85 ovr)

usually Draxler and Goretzka rotate depending on the current form of the player. I have massively underrated Hojbjerg. Looking at his stats, he is essentially a younger Kroos. Lacking a little in the shot power, but holding steady everywhere else, he is definitely a future starter. Schnellhardt is developing quite slowly (as all youth GK's do), but I am hoping he will be ready in 2 years (3 max) when Neuer calls it quits. Neuer is currently 33 and 90 overall, so no point in finding another GK at the moment with probably the best keeper in the world still.

I am still holding strong in Champions League, winning 6 out of 6 matches. Including a romping of PAOK for the opening match, which ended 10-0 (I even simmed this game and we decimated them!).

I am into the 4th round of the Deutscher Pokal as well.

After 22 games in the Bundesliga, I sit atop the standings with 55 points. The rest of the top 6 fills out as follows:

                2. Schalke - 48
                3. Wolfsburg - 48
                4. BVB Dortmund - 43
                5. Bayer 04 - 38
                6. Hamburger SV - 38

The gap to 7th is 7 points (held by Werder Bremen currently)

Depending on how much my youth prospects grow will directly impact my transfer strategy for the summer window. I'm really hoping one of my 4 youth GK's can get up to at least around 76. I'm going to hate for Neuer to go down without a decently reliable backup. Lewandowski is getting older as well, he is currently 31. Kachunga looks like he will be more than capable of taking over the starting striker role, if Lewa were to go down ever. However, I have debating between bringing in Martial to run a 2 striker system OR taking advantage of the bajillion midfielders I have and running the 4-3-3 false 9 with Gotze as the CF. It will be determined over the last half of the season.

Took a quick look at the standings for other leagues. Arsenal are in danger of relegation in the EPL.... Barca are sitting 6th in Liga BBVA.... AC Milan and Juve are tied at the top of Seria A, and PSG is winning Ligue 1 by 18 points. Interesting eh.... lol

                Updating more later!

                  Real Sociedad update 2013-14

Manage to squeeze a few games in before work and must say I'm impressed with the team first game won 2-1 against elche

Next match was against athletico Madrid and went into half time 0-0 I replace granero with some youth player and all his threw balls went through next thing I know I'm 3-0 up thinking what the heck the Madrid scored 2 and then I got a handball in the box ( play with hand balls on) 3-3 80th min so I put 5 at the back to get the point and replaced my striker for a cam and he Eason fire game finished 6-3 to me I couldn't believe it

Next was levante my cb got red carded and in the end lost 1-0

Next match is against Barcelona so should be interesting

So. Disaster struck. 4 seasons into my Everton Career Mode, my save file got corrupted and now it keeps on freezing no matter what I do. It's a huge shame, because I really wanted to continue with it. Then again, it was getting a little stale, but I was too attatched to my players to move to a different club. RIP Everton. My final squad:

                          GK: Courtois (84)
                          RB: De Sciglio (82)
                          CB: Sakho (90)
                          CB: Varane (85)
                          LB: Baines (84)
                          CM: Pogba (85)
                          CM: Malanda (82)
                          RAM: Bakkali (85)
                          CAM: Insigne (83)
                          LAM: Lucas (89)
                          ST: Balotelli (89)

                          A really, really good side.

NOW! Onto my next era of career mode. I wanted to stick to the Premier League for the time being, but I wanted a different, harder challenge. So I decided to go for Crystal Palace, 5 mins each half, Legendary. I'm halfway into the transfer window and I've already played two friendlies. I can't remember the squad or their rating since I'm unfamiliar with Palace, but I'll TRY to remember at least. But first, my transfers thus far:

                          IN:
                          Bonilla
                          Carrasco
                          Dier
                          Bakkali (loan)

                          OUT:
                          --

                          FAILED TRANSFERS:
                          Zouma
                          Goretzka
                          Martial

                          aaaand the team:
                          GK: Speroni (74)
                          RB: Ward (73)
                          CB: Dier (73)
                          CB: Dann (70)
                          LB: Parr (69)
                          CDM: Jedinak (74)
                          RM: Ince (71)
                          CM: Ledley (71)
                          LM: Bakkali (72)
                          ST: Chamakh (75)
                          ST: Gayle (69)

It feels really weird playing with Crystal Palace because I'm used to just rampaging teams

First game I played was at home to Sassuolo and it was a pretty fun match from a neutral's perspective. I took the lead in the 11th minute with Bakkali getting his debut goal with a tidy finish after cutting in from the left. However, Sassuolo hit back twice and I found myself 2-1 down at half time. Impressively, substitute Murray knocked the ball into the net with a diving header, and, 90th minute, Chamakh scores with his weak foot, dragging the ball into the near post with the goalkeeper slow to react. 3-2 final score, but it was undeserved and Sassuolo threatened a lot. The second game was away to Lazio, but I surprisingly found it easier. However, it was still 0-0 until the 90th minute when Chamakh scored (again) with a run in from the right and a one-on-one composed finish. So so far, 2 wins out of 2.

                              Crystal Palace Career Mode

Crystal Palace Finish Their Friendlies Unbeaten

                              Crystal Palace 1 Chamakh '27
                              Toulouse 1 Didot '82

Crystal Palace's fine run of form continued as they managed a confident draw at home to a menacing Toulouse side. While not as dominant as they were in their previous fixture, away to Lazio, a string of great chances followed by a calm Chamakh header gave Palace a deserved 1-0 lead at the break. Toulouse impressed in the second half, however, and an impressive display was rewarded with Didot's second goal in as many games, powering a low shot past Speroni from outside the box. Palace's form will no doubt give new manager Edgar confidence during his first Premier League campaign.

Premier League: Palace in for Fryers?
There are many rumours surrounding Fryers, Tottenham's reserve fullback, the most credible being a loan move to Crystal Palace. Edgar is no stranger to smart loan moves, with both Bakkali and Ince seemingly strong market moves. Tottenham previously stated in August that Fryers is available for a loan deal, and his temporary move to Palace would be an intelligent one for both parties involved. Palace have notoriously been on the hunt for a new Left-back, a previous deal for Rose breaking down. Furthermore, Palace are rumoured to be in the hunt for both PSG's Lucas Digne and Ricardo Rodriguez of Wolfsburg, though they both remain implausible.

UPDATE: Crystal Palace are close to obtaining Fryers on loan with a possibility of Palace paying £500,000 for Fryer's services in the future.

Premier League: Chances Rued as Palace Make Impact

                              Tottenham Hotspur 1 Kane '90

Crystal Palace's start to their Premier League campaign ended with a point - but it should have been three. While Tottenham looked menacing without creating chances, it was Palace who took an arguable shock lead, a bizarre Chamakh header that left Lloris stranded finding the net. From there on, Palace grew in confidence and were almost rewarded a second goal, if not for a fantastic double save from Lloris. Following half-time, the game continued in a similar fashion to how it left off, with both Puncheon and Gayle unable to beat Tottenham's impressive goalkeeper, the latter having a one-on-one situation that he should have converted. However, it was heartbreak for Edgar and his team as Paulinho's fine cross found the head of substitute Kane, who was left with an open goal after his header ricocheted off the post back into his path.

Gus Edgar: "I'm happy. To face Tottenham as underdogs and deserve to win is good, very good. I think it bodes well for our campaign. We gave it our all and I'm impressed with our players. Our team should have taken some of our chances but I'm fine with the draw, Tottenham are tough opposition."

Andre Villas-Boas: "We had two very good chances and we only took one of them. So yes, this result was fair, Palace played well and credit where credit is due, but we could have won this too and maybe we should have had a penalty. I've seen those given. From our performance, I'm confident that we'll be playing in Europe next season. Adamant."

Man of the Match: Hugo Lloris

Update on my Brighton & Hove Albion career mode!

After my second season overall and my first in the premiership, I finished 9th which I was pleased about. Had some big wins over Tottenham and Man Utd and drew with Liverpool and Arsenal. City absolutely destroyed me haha.

                                Current Squad:
                                Position; Name; Overall; Age

                                GK: Jack Butland (73, 22)
                                RB: DeAndre Yedlin (70, 21)
                                CB: Mateo Musacchio (80, 24)
                                CB: Joleon Lescott (80, 32)
                                LB: Jack Colback (77, 25)
                                CDM: Rohan Ince (71, 22)
                                CDM: Jack Rodwell (77, 24) (Pre-contract)
                                RM: Zakaria Bakkali (80, 19)
                                LM: Kazenga LuaLua (73, 24)
                                CAM: Angel Correa (76, 20)
                                ST: Yassine Benzia (75, 20)

                                Bench:
                                CB: Nathan Aké (68, 20)
                                LB: Raphaël Guerreiro (70, 21)
                                CDM: Levin Oztunali (68, 19)
                                CAM: Ryan Gauld (68, 19)
                                CAM: Marcos Lopes (68, 19)
                                ST: Leonardo Ulloa (73, 28)
CM: Sébastien Tauil (72, 18) (Youth Player)

                                Notable Reserves:
                                CB: Alessio Romagnoli (68, 20)
                                RB: Reece Wabara (68, 23)
                                RW: Solomon March (69, 20)
                                CF: Gabriel (69, 18)

At the start of the transfer window I decided to sell Lescott who I got at a bargain price at the beginning of my career mode and he is almost 33 and still 80 overall; the biggest issue with him is that he is about to decline and is costing me waaaaay to much on the wage budget. LuaLua also demanded a transfer, so I must find a replacement for him.

Overall I'm happy with my squad, especially my starting 11, the only problem is that some of my youth players haven't grown much, like Aké, Gauld, and Lopes. The three of them are all still very young and I hope they get better fast, but I'm afraid I will have to send them out on loan so they can grow, which means I need to purchase more squad players :/

I get pretty attached to my players and I hate selling them unless they ask to leave, and with LuaLua being one of the few players still around from the original squad I took over, it'll be tough to see him depart.

My goals for the season are reach round of 16 in the FA Cup, and finish mid table in the league. My personal goal is to qualify for Europe and reach the Semi's of the FA Cup. They may be more ambitious but I feel that my squad will grow a lot this season and the younger players will develop a lot more. I'll update you all once the summer transfer window is over!

(also if you know any good players you think I should buy please tell me! I'm always looking for new players to try out!)
