The Training Screen has been enhanced this year to make it more user-friendly and informative. You no longer have to guess how many points it will take to level-up an attribute, as the screen will tell you exactly how many points it will cost to upgrade to the level you have set the bar to. You can also train multiple attributes at one time and keep track of how much progress you have made with each attribute in that current year. From a logic standpoint, the cost of training has changed too, so now it is really expensive to level-up when you start getting attributes in the 80’s and 90’s. This makes it harder to become unrealistically good and expensive to maintain such high attributes when they start regressing. -

This sounds really impressive. I think I will give RTTS a shot for the first time this year. Can anyone tell me if you are allowed to use custom rosters with RTTS? Not a big deal if not but I think I would prefer playing against fictional players over the actual MLB if I was to create a new guy.Comment

To clarify, offline games are not tracked? 90% of all the games played in MLB 13 online were played in RTTS? Does RTTS have an online mode?T-BONE.
Talking about things nobody cares.Comment

The upgraded catcher RTTS makes me want to be a catcher now. Sounds awesome, I just hope the loading screens load quickly so we can stay immersed in the game.
Also are those new training modes available outside of RTTS???Comment

I think he is referring to when your system is running the wifi or hooked up with the Ethernet cable. That's how they collect their data.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 03-17-2014, 06:53 PM.Comment

Most of the training modes are available outside of RTTS by going to batting or pitching practice from the main menu. Once you've loaded into practice mode, you can switch between the different games. Fielding and base running modes are not accessible as those gameplay mechanics are specific to RTTS.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Road to the Show Developer Blog
I only tinker with this mode each year. The advancement goals were always what killed me.
Kirby and the team have taken this mode in a whole new direction towards realism.
I'm actually going to say this for the first time ever! ! I'm excited about playing RTTS this year! !

Re: MLB 14 The Show Road to the Show Developer Blog
I will always love this series but it's time for negatives because this community gives to much praise & little negative. First with RTTS where's a draft presentation? Why can't you do that? Base it off the real life like MLB network. I want to here player voices like in NBA 2k14. & I can still see that the fielding animations are horrible still they look like the guy is on some drug. I'm sorry but MVP baseball had better fielding animations & that was in 2005! In MLB they always were stiff. I'm hoping this is just the ps3 version & vita. Because NBA did do this also I was hating & then the ps4 stuff came out. So I'll give it time. But you guys need to be quicker with info I understand about the ps4 but the ps3 doesn't really have anything either? Like what? Come on. & with NBA 2k In mind make a good my team like with historic packs & team packs & etc. No one wants fake players. If you copied the nba 2k my team you would have so much fans. Baseball & MLB the show will always be life both in real life & my video game. Form ruin it. Show improvements & how about this little detail you know how a pitcher or batter steps out how about you make the screen shake making you want to step out making it more realistic. & also show fights & brawls. & get the new replay system in there please everything I just said.......
Come on, dude. You can't honestly read that blog and have that many negative things to say. At least they care to continually improve the mode.Comment

Re: Dev Blog: RTTS The Evolution Continues in MLB 14 The Show
They clears up my confusion a little bit. Was mainly taking about AA-AAA not AA-mlb
