You would think in this day and age you would be able to get some info on that. But I have looked high and low for weeks if not months, and I cannot get any solid info on the release date. Even rumors are hard to come by. It's ridiculous.

On hold due to Sony's patching process last I saw.

Well there was a repot a week or two ago that the release was supposedly imminent. However, the patching info you mentioned is consistent with what I had heard earlier. It is still ridiculous that no official word had been sent.

I think that report you fellas were mentioning was vague. However, I think I almost interpret one saying, without saying...

Gaijin wants to integrate the PC and PS4 environments. This means they want to release the patch in their terms so that neither console group would have any benefits from immediate enhancements. SCEA delays the patch implementation through their tests and QA process before going into implementation. Gaijin finds this delay as irritating, especially when they need to make immediate fixes.

Gaijin has on their website some possible future enhancements. I believe this is a 1.39 version that's soon to be released. I don't have any info there either but I believe I read somewhere that it was delayed again and I think April was a new date. However, I think they want to release this patch first before implementing on the PS4 US server. 2 eggs that I just threw on the board

This patch may or may not be delayed due to beta testing or SCEA regulations but its a bummer that its preventing many of you gamers from playing an amazing aero-combat experience on the PC and or PS4!

What I'd read is that the patch process would force every user to re-download the entire game whenever they patched - which would suck.

Not sure why this is the case with War Thunder and not other games, probably why they've wedged PC-style patchers into their ps4 releases.

Same thing I read. What gets me is you cannot get a solid answer from either Sony or Gaijin. Certainly horrible customer support and if I wasn't able to download and play the European version I would be livid: War Thunder was announced as a launch title, or at least to be available near launch and was one of the main reasons I went PS4 at launch. Don't get me wrong, I love my PS4 and I am glad I have it, but War Thunder was basically promised to be available to us long before now.

I am trying to figure out how some people turn their planes going against the laws of physics. One second I am chasing from the rear, then the next moment they are heading straight for me. I have been playing this game for a while now and can't figure it out. I know some planes just aren't made to perform that way, but I am now unlocking tier III American planes and haven't come upon any that can.

I remembered this post from a while ago and wanted to add one more thing which has helped me in dogfights:
If you are in a one-on-one battle and it has become a turning contest, use you flaps! Press right on the D-pad to lower them and they will add drag and allow you to turn more sharply. I used this multiple times today and it helped me, no doubt. Great for tighter turns or to help stay on the tail of a plane that is trying to shake you, even when it is changing speeds rapidly and maneuvering like crazy. Just be ready to lower/raise them as needed for maneuverability or speed.

Recently moved my last team (Luftwaffe) into Rank 2. If Rank 1 was addictive, all I can say is that Rank 2 is off the charts. Say goodbye to the late 1920's - 1937 planes and hello to a new decade in Rank 2 with some WW2 Thunder!

Don't fly much in the dark so I decided to take a still shot given the chance. A night time mission and my Hurricane1 is hungry and looking for red meat!

Playing this on the PS4 and it's addicting and a lot of fun. I will also say it's an excellent flight game and you can set it to be very much sim. Beautiful graphically as well

I believe you simply set that particular console as the primary console for that UK account.

Found some news regarding War Thunder. Although the article speaks about why the Xbox1 won't be getting WT, they do throw in some info which may indicate April. I know I know, we heard it before but its still something.

The PS4 version of War Thunder, available only in Europe right now, will support cross-play beginning as early as next month, Yudintsev said. The reason this feature has yet to go live comes down to an unspecified updating issue that Yudintsev said Sony engineers are working to fix right now.
