How does it amount to a glitch? I'm genuinely curious.

I don't care either way (not attached to it, nor am I distracted by it...in fact, I am really only ever reminded of it on here ), but I always viewed it as simply a form of artistic license.

No you are right in the end. It is quite odd to see it all the time in the game, but its one of those things that I feel will get changed...when they change it. Even something as simple as, sunny day games= sweat, cold night games= less sweat would be fine with me. As long as its not all the time sweatsville.

Key words, "reducing" not eliminating. That's why the sweat stains on the hats do not bother me. To add some realism, the hats could gradually become more saturated with sweat throughout the game (as someone else already suggested), but I don't see a need to do away with sweaty hats all together.
This is NOT how it currently works (in 13 at least). Put the game in if I'm not making sense.

In 13; all players, at all times, in all weather conditions, have sweat stains on their hats.

        Even when it's raining.

        Even when it's 40 degrees.

Even in inning 1. Or inning 3. Or 9.

        It's permanent.

It's a glitch, or an oversight. Not sure why this isn't making sense? I'm not debating sweat glands here. LOL!

Not sure why you're responding to my tongue-in-cheek post when Heroes is the one who brought it up, but I'll respond anyway... If I sweated out one of my hats I would get a new one, and I'd imagine the same applies to MLB players (especially the younger ones) since, you know, they get them for free and all

Herosandvillians I'm glad you found the humor of my post with the stamp, it was a joke not meant to be rude. however you are right the sweat stains shouldn't always be there, probably most likely a over sight, I'm sure at some point it was added to enhance detail, but with ps4 being new I'm more than certain it wasn't in the list of things to work on. I'm sure some time during the ps4's life span SCEA will do something about it, like make it a progression detail "the hat is dry at the start of the game and progressively thru the game it would get sweaty on hot days" The Show has always been about details and it won't be over looked for very long.

Oh yes, LOL! I knew you were joking. We're all friends here.

What I was basically trying to say last night was that I'm not sure most people notice how it's always there. I wasn't saying that it was "gross" in general. LOL! I think the people that asked me how it was a glitch literally haven't noticed what I'm talking about. Maybe even Ramone, which is fine.

I was trying to say was that I think it was an oversight or glitch that all hats in MLB 13 have sweat stains on them at all times. I do not think the artists or programmers at SCEA SD did this on purpose.

I was just stating that I hope it gets fixed.

I am guilty of not being aware that the sweat was always on the hats (no matter the circumstances). I recognized the sweat on the hats, but never paid enough attention to know whether it only happened in particular weather situations or if it was constant. Now that you have pointed that out, I am sure that I will constantly notice and it will begin to drive me nuts, too. Soooo..thanks for pointing that out!

The thing with the sweat is that its not a bug, or at least San Diego doesn't consider it a bug as evident by Ramone's post. If it was a bug I'm sure they'd address it. For them to have it variable they'd have to go in and add in that functionality. Like a lot of things in The Show it might not be very high on the priorities list or not even on it and it probably shouldn't be very high with all the other things they want to do. So for the time being we just have to deal with it since its working as planned. Like all the other little things in the game it'll probably get addressed eventually.

Agreed that it's probably not and shouldn't be a high priority. And trust me when I say dynamic sweat will never be on my wish-list. I really don't care about it. I was just pointing out and requesting a fix to what I believe to be a glitch or oversight.

I don't think they intended for all hats to be like this at all times. I could be wrong but I really don't think permanent sweat-stained hats on all players at all times was the goal.

Anyway, enough of this topic. Didn't realize it would gets so many responses.

Too much praise for next gen NBA 2K14 when they got a lot of body types, skin tones, hair styles, head to body proportions wrong. I still feel that MLBTS PS3 models are captured better than 2K. It is the essence of the player that makes the wow factor in models. 2K models look way to robotic where as the Show their personality stands out. I'm pretty sure that in May 6th and we seen the game in motion everyone will relax. This is the best Dev team I trust this guys.

He's not wrong. Just look at Cody Zeller's gigantic head. Like what in the world happened there? He looks a lot like his brother Tyler in real life (who in 2k14 looks great), but in 2k14 Cody's face looks like he's been stung by a lot of bees. It doesn't match his in-game picture and his mouth is always open for some reason, he looks really slow based on how they made him.

There are a lot of other examples like this in the game too, so don't start going around saying this guy is not thinking correctly. And more importantly he is entitled to his own opinion just like you.

All-in-all I think most people on this thread right now are complaining a little too much about the graphics. They look fantastic. If you're being nitpicky about stray hairs and sweat stains then the graphics team did a superb job if that's the worst thing you can rarely see in-game.

In response to whoever was complaining about how jerseys hang on player models; do you realize how hard it is to work with clothes material and its physics in animation? A lot of graphic designers always try to see if it is necessary for things to interact with cloth and hair because it is a b**** to work with. Also, look at NBA 2k14 that everyone is praising; even that game features jerseys that don't cling to players, it hovers above their skin (and it's very noticeable when you look at them) and never actually interacts with the players.

So, as I said before, The Show looks really nice and I am very satisfied with what the Dev team has graced us with so far.
