The coaching career of Chase Tanner

Introduction
This dynasty will follow the coaching career of Chase Tanner. I plan on using sliders and dynasty rules that Miles Perry has set in place. I like how strict the rules are and they look like it should make a more simulation style dynasty. Everything of course, is subject to change depending on how the difficulty actually turns out to be..*I will be simulating the 2013 season*

About Coach Tanner
Chase Tanner was born in 1982 and grew up in Mooresville, NC where he went to HS. He was a 4 year starter at quarterback and safety, and helped bring the team to the NC state semi-finals his senior year.

Chase played football for Western Carolina for four years. The first two years he was a strong safety in a rotational role, but was switched over to quarterback for his final two seasons with the team as the full-time starter. He also earned team captain status as a Junior and Senior.

Going undrafted in the 2004 draft, he signed onto the Dallas Cowboys practice squad as a quarterback, and eventually signed a league minimum contract to play in his home state of Carolina for a year. After suffering from a herniated disc in training camp of the 2006 season, Tanner retired from the NFL.

In 2007, Tanner was hired on as quarterbacks coach and assistant offensive coordinator for Western Carolina, and remained there until 2011 when he took a quarterbacks coaching position at Old Dominion. Heading into the 2014 season, Tanner has been promoted to Offensive Coordinator.

ODU has been successful in the past with the ‘Run-n-shoot’ offense, especially with quarterback Tyler Heinicke under center, but Tanner looks to add a new style to the offense. While not wanting to lose their identity, Tanner will keep the ‘Run-n-shoot’ but plans to add a pro style dimension to the offense this year, by utilizing the ground game more often than seen in the past.

Dynasty Rules
Gameplay Rules:
  • No user catching unless I controlled the player at the start of the play.
  • No switching players on defense.
  • Can't abuse read option.
  • Can't abuse corner/out routes.
Recruiting Rules:
  • 1* prestige: May only target 2 star or under players, 3 star Juco allowed. 5 recruits to be out of state.
  • 2* prestige: May sign five 3 star recruits (if in their top 3 to start season), 7 out of state.
  • 3* prestige: May sign 2 four star recruits (if in their top 3 to start season), twelve 3 star recruits. 10 out of state.
  • 4* prestige: May sign one 5 star recruit (if in their top 3 to start season), seven 4 star recruits. 10 out of state.
  • 5* prestige: May sign three 5 star recruits, twelve 4 star recruits. 15 out of state.
  • 6* prestige: No restrictions.
  • 3 star recruits may be added to board if they are ranked outside of top 100 in their position.
  • I can add/subtract 10-15 pounds on recruits AFTER their freshman year.

Coach will start at level 3 with slowest progression. For every 3 points I put in recruiting 1 must go in game management.
