I was listening to my local sports talk radio today here in Atlanta. They had scoop about the players walk up music in the MLB. The MLB wants to shortening the walk up music, not get rid of it. They said some players walk up music was about 1 minute long. Hey if you ask me MLB should take notes from DJ Will. His intros are 15-30 seconds and cuts off as the Pitcher starts his windup..
The reason why there might not be a sounds of the show for this year and beyond.

As for the future, I think San Diego Studio would have no problem including it at some point for the PS4, if Sony fixes the PS4 to play MP3's and Major League Baseball signs off on it. It is one of the best video game features EVER, in my opinion. It's just the first star you see at night

The PS4 lacks support for any sort of file transfer to make this feasible, its not just MP3 support. Sony would have to add in the ability to store media files on the PS4 first, plus add in MP3 or other audio file support and then allow developers to have their games access that data. SoTS is still in the PS3 version.
I hope the PS4 gets to a point where you can store your own media files on the HDD, but it likely take more work than it seems to add that into the PS4 OS. Once that is in there is still the matter of how will game access that data, which one would assume Sony would allow developers to access.Last edited by MrOldboy; 03-26-2014, 01:03 PM.Comment

The real reason is that they want people to sign up for Music Unlimited rather than put their own music on the machine and listen to it for free.Comment

"The biggest surprise for us all internally at Sony was there are so many people who passionately reacted to our announcement that there's no MP3 support or CD support on day one," Yoshida said. "The focus has been more on the game features. Some of the features we wanted but we couldn't get in on day one."
Yoshida told Giant Bomb (via Eurogamer) that "we didn't really think about MP3 or CD." Of course, the plan is to get around to it "eventually" with Sony "discussing when we can put these features in."It's just the first star you see at night

BUT, the author of the article responded to a comment on the blog saying that is IS coming "soon" but there was no further details about it.Go Cardinals

Well regardless of the situation I will still make packs for the PS3 version of the game, hopefully Sony implements a feature that would allow SCEA to have SOTS in MLB 15 for the PS4Creator of the OS Sounds of the Show Packs

SOTS was confirmed for PS3 Show 14.

Even thought i know that SOTS will not be in this years version, i'm still pretty sad and upset by the decision of Sony for not including custom music.San Francisco Giants
