Yeah but can't the give and take be the fact that foul balls are not counted in the QCComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Gameplay Video - Quick Counts: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red
It seems like a roundabout way of going about it, but it's obvious that just trying to play it straight (i.e. having first pitch outs possible), was creating headaches for the devs and that this was the better option.
Edit:
It's in the strategy guide.
As a rough guideline, if a game would have had 145 pitches thrown without Quick Counts, then with Quick Counts on that would translate to about 75 pitches 'actually thrown' plus an additional 115 'simulated pitches' for a total of 190 pitches. As a compromise for realism, the game corrects for this inflated number by subtracting 1 pitch per plate appearance, so that a pitcher's individual pitch count will be more comparable to a regular game.
'Simulated pitches' drain less energy to balance out fatigue loss.Comment

O boy I remember those days during the development cycle. Yeah we tried that it was (Charles Barkely voice) terrible.Comment

It's going to be roughly 27 pitches now from what I gather.
You could easily get a couple of foul balls per batter and then some of those epic battles as well.
That might be too much.
Either way....it's discounting pitches....
So......right?

Re: MLB 14 The Show Gameplay Video - Quick Counts: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red
I asked this way back when, but don't know if we really had an opportunity to get an answer.
How often do you think we will be batting as a pitcher and hoping to sac bunt, only to be faced with a two-strike count in the beginning of an at-bat with quick counts on? Even one strike might stress you out a bit haha.
Same with wanting to deploy some sort of straight steal, hit-and-run, etc. I guess you give and take with this feature. I just wish there were some 0-0 counts here and there.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I really do love the QC. Thanks SECA. for adding the option. I will use it for sure. I know it is not perfect to some but there had to be a compromise somewhere. I'm sure this feature will be perfected in future versions like they always do with their game. Man, I'm going to have to join Gamefly for only a month just to get the PS3 version until the PS4 version come out!...I can't hold on any longer!!..lol This has been a rough year with no MLB in the beginning of March after all those past year getting the game like clockwork.
Excellent job The Show Team!! You guys did it again!!...Comment
