MLB The Show 14: Official PS3/PSV "The Little Things" Thread

My game should be here sometime today, so lets get it started

Edit: Please do not comment/quote on each "Little Thing" that is posted just hit the "thanks" so we don't clutter up the entire thread with comments.

For people to describe little things that happen during gameplay. This is a thread created annually.

Not to mention, it (the thread) was actually referred to in the game. It's literally a 'little thing' in the game lol.

Playing my first game (Reds/Pirates) with quick counts. Sit on your hands for a moment and you'll see an in-game box score for the team currently batting - there's also incidental music playing while you're idle. Noticed this while texting a friend.

Reliever (Melancon) was coming up to bat and the game brought up the Offensive Sub screen and said "You might want to pinch hit for the pitcher". Came up in another game for my starter.

Just had this too. I'd assume it gives you that message when the AI would make the move, if it were controlling the team. Nice feature for the casual baseball fan.

I like it because now you don't see the relief pitcher swinging a bat and walking up to the plate if he leads off the inning. That always bugged me that is why they put this in I believe, a great thing!

One small thing I noticed was when I did the warmup swing, or just hit forward on the stick before the pitcher was ready, with David Wright, he sort of shrugged his shoulders for a few extra seconds while the pitcher waited. I thought that was such a small thing that was cool. I don't remember ever seeing that before.

M.K. Knight of FDNY is still Fan of the Game at Citi Field, in section 163 - UPGRADE YOUR SEATS!

Was waiting for PA to announce that and saw Mr. Met & a fan air guitar dueling! Also heard Bingo & This Old Man (or the Barney song) on the organ.

Got the silent treatment on my first HR in pro ball. It was awesome.

I also love that the pitchers move their heads to check on runners... such a great, immersive detail

Ryan Howard grounds out to 3B, against the overshift. Cue Matt: "And you can score that a 5-3 groundout, although it looked more like a 6-3 groundout."

Edit: I feel that moments like this are unique sportsgamers experiences and I don't want to ruin the moment/surprise for others. So I've put it in spoiler.
