Short Pass Accuracy

Does anyone know the importance (or lack thereof) of short pass accuracy? I get it on Deep and medium throws, but throws to the flats, screens, and slants almost always seem on point.

I've never really had to bother with it too much, as most QB's if they suck, it's because they have low MED/DEEP Accuracy, not low Short Accuracy.

It probably matters some for simming, and it MIGHT make a difference for trying to lead your receivers to the sideline on very short routes, but that's probably the limit of it's usefulness.

It seems to be the least important of the passing stats.

According to some random thing I read somewhere the only accuracy stat that matters for simming is plain old throw accuracy

I think it may depend on the Offense you run. I use a modified Pats playbook which calls for a lot of short passes and when I increase the short acc. to say 90 or so I notice my QB's overall skyrockets on the in game depth chart

most all passes seem on point to me. there needs to be more variance with throws. this is why everyone passes for 500 yards in online games.
