Player of the Game: Eric Bledsoe 19 points 2 rebounds 7 assists 2 steals 2 blocks 6-15 FG, 1-5 threes, 6-7 threes
We came out cold to start the game, but bounced back behind 9 first quarter points for Markieff. For the second game in a row he was red hot in the first and didn't do anything afterwards. Dragic added 5 points and 5 assists. Perkins had a big first quarter with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Jackson added 7, but shot just 2-10. Durant was just 0-1 in 9 minutes.
We played a strong second quarter, the defense was the key to us opening up 8 point halftime lead. We shoot 46% and limit the Thunder to just 38%. Durant just 2 points on 1-5. Perkins and Jackson lead Thunder with 12. Bledsoe leads up with 12 points 3 assists, 2 steals. Green had 7, Dragic had 7 and 6 assists. The Thunder open on 13-4 run to get back into the game. We go back and forth for the entire third thanks to Durant starting to get hot and Marcus Morris scoring 12 third quarter points. We go into the forth quarter with a 2 point lead.
The back and forth nature of this game continued in the 4
th. Dragic and Green hit big threes for us early in the quarter. Durant drilled a three to tie it at 88 with 4 mins left. Fyre scored 4 straight for us while Ibaka and Durant it shots to tie it at 92 with 3 minutes left. We went back and forth for a while with noone scoring despite some solid looks. With 40 seconds left we rebound a Thunder miss. Bledsoe gets out in transition. He had a lane to the rim and went up for a layup. At the last second a defender jumped up and Bledsoe passed it back to the wide open Plumlee for a easy dunk, that he MISSED! The Thunder got the rebound and were running. Durant got the wide open three for the lead, but he missed. We got the rebond and carried it down with 30 seconds left. We slowed it down. Bledsoe got a pick and drove to the rim and got fouled by Ibaka with 14 seconds left. Bledsoe hit both free throws to put us up 2. Thunder take the time out. Jackson has it off the inbounce top of the key. He has Durant ready to take on Tucker 1 on 1 on the wing. Bledsoe is leaning toward Durant expecting the pass so Jackson drives toward the rim. Bledsoe recovered and cut his lane off, but Jackson was able to get a good look at a floater a few feet inside the free throw line, it looked like it was going to go down, but it rimmed out. Plumlee got the rebound and passed it to Bledsoe who was fouled with 2 seconds left. Bledsoe spilt the free throws. The Thunder called a timeout and inbounded it to Jackson who had to throw up a long three, which fell short at the buzzer and the Suns are now 3-0!!!
