Re: Sports Daily: Who Deserves the NBA MVP Edition
I think Durant is sneaky, and probably the best their is at selling contact.. But it's not so much a gripe about him as it is against the refs.. They need to do much better job of calling on the contact rather than the reaction. Either way I don't know that it effects if he should or shouldn't be this seasons MVP.

Re: Sports Daily: Who Deserves the NBA MVP Edition
All superstars get calls more often than role players that's the issue. It's really just complaining to complain, you got guy's on your team who get the benefit from superstar treatment also. That's the thing, LeBron doesn't. All superstars complain, but that't not the issue here, don't get them mixed up.
Him, Melo, PG, Westbrook even..all get hit way more per game and it goes uncalled. You even touch Durant just barely and it's a foul. No questions asked. Same with Harden.
Who cares if he's frail? Show me in the rulebook where player weight is factored in to foul calls. A foul is a foul. Something called on Manute Bol should also be called on Shaq.
I don't see you arms up in the air when the zebras are rewarding the flops that have been pulled by any of the big 3 on your team. Guess because they don't result in free throws most of the time will just ignore it hmm but it's a foul and that's the only thing I agree on with you on a foul is a foul.
I never said his weight played a difference, that was clearly followed by he sells the hell out of no contact. May not say it in any rulebook but I know if Durant comes flying down the lane with any slight bump that knocks him off course, compared to a physical freak in LeBron running through contact unfazed, Durant will get that call more.
Now if LeBron incorporates some of that acting from flops on defense he'll probably get some more whistles.
I hate the way Harden gets the calls also, but at what point do we continue to blame players for taking advantage of the Leagues **** up.Horseshoes & HollyWoodComment

Re: Sports Daily: Who Deserves the NBA MVP Edition
Haha Durant won't get even remotely close to the Rose treatment....the majority of people think he's well deserving of being MVP...you got LeBron publicly conceding the award, lol
Honestly, outside of here, people don't talk about the calls he gets either....no memes, no gifs, no outcry about the destruction of the game...that's actually what trips me out about the whole thing...but that's another thread...Comment

Yeah ok, let OKC get eliminated in any round other than the Finals and it'll be the samething Rose got when Miami got rid of them in 5 when people were questioning him if he was the MVP even though we ALL knew what happened in the postseason would have nothing to do with what was accomplished in the regular season, lol.
Go ahead and make that thread though 24#RespectTheCultureComment

Oh, you mean that....
He'll get that regardless...he's reached that point in his career where the whispers start creep ing in once you've failed multiple times...Comment

Re: Sports Daily: Who Deserves the NBA MVP Edition
Superstars complain more because, unless it's respected veteran doing the nagging, officials won't listen to role-players.
KD is likely MVP. I would prefer Noah myself but, by definition KD takes it.***1971-72 ABA Roster 2K12 360***
