Re: Players who can have a breakout season in 2014

Terrence Magee from LSU. Now that he's THE guy, and whoever winds up as the quarterback isn't that experienced, he should have a huge season.

Davis Webb from Texas Tech. It's insane how much much coverage he's getting this offseason. He added 20 pounds of muscle, and apparently improved enough to make Tech a darkhorse national title contender, according to one of ESPN's writers.

Matter of fact, here's 4 really good TDs from Webb this past Saturday. It was nearly 5, but the receiver stepped out of bounds at like the 3.

I refuse to be the "kiss of death" for any of our players...............therefore, I predict that all of the Bama players will have breakout seasons Comment

Re: Players who can have a breakout season in 2014

Well I mean, those are the players that we're more familiar with. So it's easier to watch them progress and think they're going to have a better season.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 04-19-2014, 01:16 PM.Boston Red Sox

Re: Players who can have a breakout season in 2014

Just like TripleCrown said, those are the players we know in and out and follow news in the offseason about them so wouldn't that be the most educated answer by saying a player from the team you best know? I mean sure I can say someone like Laquon Treadwell could break out but I haven't been following Ole Miss practices in the offseason.Comment

Re: Players who can have a breakout season in 2014

 Serious homer post.

 Cameron Artis-Payne.

He will be filling the #1 HB position in a Gus Malzahn led offense that loves to run the ball.

He played second fiddle to Tre Mason last year. Dude will have a monster year, especially with Cory Grant.

FWIW, I'm on record saying Tre Mason is the best player in the country no one is talking about, last year and my reasoning was very similar.Comment

Re: Players who can have a breakout season in 2014

If RS-sophomore QB Greyson Lambert doesn't lead UVA to at least a five-win season, Mike London's getting fired.

He could be decent. Maybe. So I'll go with him.

Yes, this is a "breakout" season by current UVA football standards, which are lower than the floor.Comment
