    What controls do you like?

    Pure analog? Zone? etc.

What do you guys find in most realistic for pitching and hitting and fielding?

    Thanks!

I've used pure analog for a while now, but I'm gonna try to transition to timing this year (mostly for cosmetic purposes, since the strides often look weird with pure analog, especially guys with high leg kicks). I started using pulse pitching when it came out and I love it because it adds that little bit of realistic uncertainty in your pitches. With the meter I felt like I could pinpoint pitches with anybody, which detracted from the realism. On defense I've started throwing without the meter since it lets the player's ratings be the deciding factor in the throw's accuracy and not the user's input.

I tried to use pulse pitching, but it made me dizzy lol! I switch between pure analog and zone hitting, meter pitching, sometimes the analog stick makes my wrist sore. I do like the stick for fielding, but I turn of the meter too.

I use zone for hitting (buttons) and analog for everything else (AS). I'm just terrible hitting on analog, it's easier for me to check swing on zone. Maybe I'll try analog hitting again when the PS4 version comes out and see what happens.

I can never get the stride good on analog. I am always just early.

Pure analog hit, pitch and field. Don't be a button pusher, (no offense to button pushers). Most realistic feel is to have all presentation options such as h/c zones, strike zone, swing pitch info, turned off. Naked like watching it in real life. Pitching camera is always behind the mound.

What do you think of zone plus analog?

                    Hitting: Zone

                    Pitching:
                    Home games: Pulse
                    Away games: Analog

                    Fielding:
                    Home games: Analog
                    Away games: Button Accuracy

Re: What controls do you like?

Hitting and Pitching I use Pure Analog, start my Franchise on All-Star but as I play the game more I move up to HOF for both.

Fielding I use Buttons, meter OFF. For those that struggle with the step timing using Pure Analog hitting, I believe there is a slider for Stride Difficulty (I could be way off here) that you could bump down until you get the hang of it.

I understand why people use Timing hitting and Classic pitching, but there is no more realistic feel to hitting IMO than Pure Analog hitting. Its very well done and truthfully, with Dynamic Difficulty and turning the Stride Difficulty slider down, there's never been a better time to try out Analog hitting.

Once you "get" it, you will never go back.

Hitting:Analog (sure feels good when you get a piece of one)

Fielding:Analog on hall of fame ( i don't like fielding feeling automatic. Defeats the point. I like having to actually put effort into making correct throws, the error margin seems pretty accurate)

I also enjoyed turning off the ball indicator in the outfield, in previous years as it made it a challenge to track down the ball within the blue circle. Hopefully this new addition will keep it challenging.

Pitching: I always like analog... but haven't tried pulse yet. Looking forward to it though.

Pulse pitching , timing hitting. I switch between assisted base running and auto, sometimes auto fielding.

I used pure analog everything for a couple years. I switched to button with meter for fielding this year because with analog the game gets confused between 2nd base and home sometimes. (I press up for second but it throws home) I enjoy the meter other than the fact that I dont understand why it has to be so big and obtrusive.

Pure analog for everything. I cant even imagine going back to pushing a button now to hit, pitch or field. I tried pulse pitching when it 1st came out but I absolutely hate pulse pitching, and it took me about a inning before I scrap it, that stupid pulsating thing gave me a headache, lol.
