Very nice podcast guys.

Totally agree that a newer model is required. Gamers are tired of paying yearly for roster updates. Even if that is not the case (it's more than a roster update), it will nevertheless be perceived as such because they aren't allowing customization. With the explosion of indie scene and open platforms like PC gaming on the rise, the old model is not working. People want control and customization over their experience. It's a matter of perception.

Instead of expensive licensing, they need to follow the Golf Club's example. Focus on good gameplay and let the community take care of the rest (customization/mods). The line between developers and customers is blurring. Have to move with the times.
