There are many MLB The Show fans who strive for every player in the game to have the perfect batting stance or pitching motion. The community does a great job with these edits. However, the information can be tough to find, and a bit disorganized sometimes. Wouldn't it be great if all that info was in one centralized place? And was easily accessible while playing the game?

Well, now it is. With this app, you will be able to view all of the batting stance and pitching motion edits from the MLB The Show community, as well as contribute your own. The app will contain all of the stances and motions exactly as they appear in the game, making it easy to add and view the edits.

The list of players will be searchable to easily find the player you are looking for, and also be able to be sorted by team. Each player will also be able to be assigned multiple stances and motions, as sometimes everyone may not agree with a selection.

Currently the app has stances and motions for the 2013 and 2014 games on PS3 and Vita. New years will be added shortly after the game releases.

The app will be available on both iOS and Android. More details will be announced in the coming days, check out the screenshots here.

Huh, this is a nice thing to exist and fancy for its purpose, but it could be more useful to more people if it was web based as well. I know several friends who do not own smartphones and play The Show a lot.

When you first launch the app, it will download all of the information that it needs. So all of the stances and pitching motions in the games, and all of the players that have edits assigned to them. The app will display all of those players, and you can search through them, and sort them by team.

When you click on a player, you will be taken to a screen that shows all of the stances or motions that have been added to that player. The equivalent of someone posting a stance for a player in a thread on OS.

You then have the option to assign your own stance to that player, by clicking "Add Stance" or "Add Motion", which will take you to a screen with all of the stances or motions in the game. Thats what contributing means. Its like posting a stance or pitching motion edit in a thread on OS.

The app uses a web connection to send and receive all of this data. It is not linked to the game at all. So you'll have to go in the game and make all of the edits yourself. But its an easier way to collect all of the edits in one place, so you don't have to go searching for them.

Almost done???

I've still got a bit of development left to do on the Android version. Then I'll be testing some more and getting everything pushed live. The hope is to have everything available by May 6 to coincide with the release of the PS4 version. I'll keep this thread updated with progress.

Legend stance 11 is berry bonds. You can tell by the end of his practice swing. just like sosas, their stance at the end of the animation is spot on.
